I got there and... seen a new carbon fiber hood missing its hood scoop... did you ever find that kirk?
I wish I would have run a couple times there were a lot of cars I could have beat there last night. Oh well we will see next time. Oh who was driving the blue TT supra? I had to cringe when he ran that high 14...

Yes. only part that broke was where huge vent is, that lil connecting rod broke on 1 side. very suprised how well it held its own and didnt get scratched. just some minor dirt chunks and that broken rod part.

I actually didn't drive my car at all on Friday. I let one of my friends drive it once, he left traction control on and ran something like 14.56 @ 100mph. I turned it off and let him go again and he did 13.53 @ 110mph with a 2.3 60 ft. When I got in I was pretty much right behind Tjamz when they called it for the day. The car was on 92 octane, 14 pounds of boost, and street tires so I wasn't expecting much.

110 is a damn good mph. Just get some sticky tires, and your set. -
I got all my videos posted up on the net today, from what I got taped yesterday. Here's a link to them: http://www.saturn9.ws/troy/Videos/Interstate%20Drags%20May%2020%202005/
I sort of labeled who was racing in the filenames of each one. -
That was a friend of mines bike. It has something rediculous like 3000 original miles on it or something. He knows it is slow but took it out just to fuck around.

werd i drove the supra that day... It was my first time racing a rwd car that's why i suck at the water box soo bad
But ya the 13.53 @ 110.7 wasn't too bad... Just shows that i need to bring those 60fts. down to maybe get out a 12.5 or so...
edit: on the second run i made... The fucker started the tree before i even had time to spool the turbo's hence the horrid 60ft. God damn-it i just wanted to do better

Not hating, just letting you know, when you light the "stage" light, you are in essence, letting the starter know you are ready. You could also do what Dave Henry does all the time and not go when the light turns green, just sit and let it spool and leave when it is ready. Your ET will be better, only your reaction time will suffer(which doesn't matter if you aren't actually racing someone). -

For what it's worth....Warren Stramer with the older Laser ran a few low 11's on sunday. 11.15 was his best I think and that was with a intercooler pipe blown off coasting through the traps at like 103. I think if he gets a pipe to stay on he will own the fastest 4 cylinder in ND plus have the fastest fwd record. Looks like he's on track for at least a 10.8 or so. (his is a SOHC motor too)

I like that Laser, back susp. is pretty trick, all homemade i think.

Just FYI I cut a .05 light on Sat.
But yes, if you want to run the best ET possible it works well to sit and just get the rpm's right, etc and launch whenever the heck you want, not trying to cut a good light.2wheeler wrote:
