mine kicks in whenever i want it to(VAFC) but stock it kicked in at 4400 or 4500 cant remember exactly what one of the 2 it is. but its one of those 2.

mine kicks in somewhere around 5k

at half throttle your vtec should not kick in, because vtec only engages when throttle is 3/4 pressed in. if i am wrong someone correct me, but i'm almsot positive thats one of the criteria for vtec to engage.

didnt know it was 3/4 throttle. well yeah i guess then at 3/4 throttle i have my vtec kick in at 5200

Yes, honda vtec kicks in at least 3/4 throttle. The US RSX kicks in at 5800 rpm and redlines at 8200 rpm. Now, the JDM version kicks in at 5200 rpm and redlines at 8600 rpm. Only difference for these is the computer, it needs to be reflashed to Hondata #4 otherwise you need a JDM computer and engine.
