I'm working on a 94' Jeep Cheroke with a 4.0L that has an overheating problem and I'm running out of ideas to fixt it. I've replaced the water pump, tried a cooler thermostat, flushed the radiator, checked air flow to the radiator and replaced the temp. sensor and now I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions?

        Replace the: Car, jk
What does the exhaust look/smell like. If it has a blue/white tint to it and smells sort of sweet, its definitly coolant, and would be more than likely a headgasket.

4L's heads have been cracked in the shop...R&R the head and send it out to check for cracks and to see if warped

what everyone else said, headgasket, make sure to have it checked for cracks. I did one the beginning of may, and it was a pain to do, but took care of the problem.
