1997 - 6 Bolt'd & Built - Spyder GS-T

1997 Eclipse Spyder GS-T
60,000 Miles - 1300 Miles on Rebuilt / SwapI've spent over a year building this car. I wanted to do everything right, with the ultimate goal of having it be the Fastest Spyder 4G63 FWD in the world. But as you all know, it takes a lot of money to keep and maintain a DSM, and with college, I just can't pull the insurance, car payments, and modding it out anymore. I wanted to take it to the track this year, but I couldn't bear the thought of breaking something and being stuck without a car for a long time.
I just purchased new tires, they are Nexun (made by Toyo, almost exact copies of Proxies). If you need photos of the tires, let me know I can run out and take pictures of it.
The car is in great condition, a few minor cosmetic things are the only issue it has. First, there is a clear coat spyder behind the drivers door, its very minor, and I didnt want to have the whole quarter panel resprayed, never bothered me. Scratch on the bottom of the front bumper cover from a curb, can't see it unless your on the ground (passenger side). Other then that the paint is in awesome condition. Interior, this car is clean in the inside, only problems is that the on the driver side door, about a 1/4 inch door trim piece is cracked.
Car drives strong, surprisingly is very reliable (everything built / rebuilt so no reason why it wouldn't be but hey, its a DSM). Easily pulls on low 12 second cars on the freeway, with an intake manifold and cams it would would be a low 11 second car.

There's been some people talking shit about my car, and how its going to blow up.
All I can say is you must be retarded!
New 6-Bolt motor w/ Ross Pistons, Eagle Rods, New Oil Pump, Water Pump, etc etc etc. 1500 miles on the motor.
Built / New Transmission.
Ok. You guys are really smart...?!? How would it "blow up?"
Don't listen to the haters, if your interested in the car, give me a call, get it checked out for yourself. Apparently there are some people out there who feel it betters themselves to talk smack...

Very interested just let me sell the stang
-
jim do u have any horsepower numbers? what is insureance on the spyder is it pretty high?
-
Jim, i think that you put a lot of time and effort not to mention money into that car. It would really be hard to sell it after just basically completing it. Even if you do need money for college. You dam near have a brand new car right now. Maybe its just me, but i for sure would'nt sell it. Even if shit happens and you break something, you still have sweet hook-ups to get it fixed somewhat cheap. Good luck either way whether you sell it or not.

Car will have fresh Ross Pistons, new Valve Guides and a brand new turbo...
