...good luck... not doubting you but...well talk to me after you spend 10 hours and still don't have it done. Its not that hard. The subs are already wired up to the amp and such so alls i have to do is ground the amp, string wire from battery to the amp, take out the old head unit, put the harness on, crimp the connections, get the RCAs hooked up power, done. (probably forgot something but i wont tomorrow)

haha alright well im gunna go get the walmart stuff 3rd period tomorrow and the best buy stuff after school then start doing it in my driveway so you know where i live if you wanna swing by or whatever.

I'm actually going to give walmart the thumbs up for the wiring kit. As long as it is the AWG that you need, it'll be fine. And yes, its not that hard to wire it all up, just a piece of advice though: USE SOLDER. Seriously, your connections are only as good as your weakest link, no sense trusting a piece of tin squished over your wires to make a solid connection.

Think of it not as much of a wiring job, but more of an interior disassembly/reassembly job.

you will also need a remote turn on wire...
its simple to wire a amp kit in...
i'll do it for free if you need someone to do it....only takes me about 30 minutes for everything...depending on the car
i think those were my old subs actually....i sold them to a guy for 40 bucks a couple of months ago.....they are actually damn good for how old they are.

if the battery is sidepost you will probably need one^^
-
shouldnt need one for a stang.

same damn thing...:P

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/Dusstbuster/Picture_2419.jpg(In 2420) the 2 that i can connect are the black one and the grey/red one on the right
side in my hand, those 2 connect to (in 2422) the one on the right that is grey and red and the black/metal plug on the left, the one that DOESNT have the T on it, NOTHING else fits. -
also as of right now im gunna still be a hardass and refuse to take it to SOS/best buy/team......id rather try be a prick and try myself or have someone help me then pay a place to do it and me not learn anything.
Tjamz please tell me you have some insight that'll clear this all up and make my pain go away.

I'm not famialer with fords sound system but you have picked a good one to try to upgrade. It looks like you have a premium sound system.I'm not sure what you need so i will let someone else handle that.
My nissan with bose system is the same way a big pain in the ass to upgrade.i need a special module to upgrade the radio to work with the bose speakers.

Well, my suggestion would be this. If you bought a new deck somewhere, just go to best buy and tell them the type of car, and the type of deck, and they will sell you a harness. One side plugs into the car and one side into the new deck. Then all you have to do is hook the same colored wires together (crimp or solder)

do you have JBL on your speaker covers?
(not necessarily a given way of telling)...but yes, looks like you have a premium sound system....which means.
you need a different Scosche harness AND an amp bypass harness. (and I have NO idea where your amp would be. maybe under the rear deck? )
