mine was a granading clutch. motor wise fine, but i decided to upgrade the internals a little on my motor while i had it out. Plus my motor was fuckin nasty, it was so dirty and grimy on the inside. plus i had calcium deposits on the valve train, dont ask me how, and bearings and rings were a little worn and tired. So i just decided to do it all.

it's your old head on the slo that went...hrm...you bounce rev limiter forever with it @ 7900 give or take...matt runs a 75 shot through it and revs it to 8k, i rev it to 7500 and lets go..???...idk wtf happend with that thing...o well, got a new head for it anyway...it'll be runnin as soon as the shop is done with the machine work...and the laser will be running by next week too (got a head with good valves for it). That was just bad luck or somthin, im not quite sure why the timing belt decided to slip 8 hrs. before track day...so then we are down back to the AWD being the only one down again...still not good, but better...i do think the car god is against me in this lol

no, i pulled the pan, found out the bearings were fine, pulled the motor to build it, i had plans of building the motor up this winter NO MATER WHAT. I planned building the motor since the middle of summer. So i guess you can give me all the crap you want, but at least i am doing everything right and taking my time with it.

Also, i believe the head went because YOU beat on it and braught it up to rev limit ALL THE TIME WITH a comp cams 260 grind cam on STOCK valve train. That is why the head went. Ask EVERY ONE. matt only braught it to 8000 10 times with the cam. other than that he didnt beat on it with the cam in there for that reason. That is also why the recomend springs and retainers, so you dont float valves.
