It was a joke that did not pan out, about me owning a h22 prelude.

We should look up stock 1/4 mile times for the RSX and a H22 4g.

Bring it. Car and Driver is one of the worst magazines ever. They also said a Lexus RX300 (the SUV!) would outhandle (!) a BMW M3 and Infiniti G35.

So do I win $5 bucks then since the RSX runs a quicker 1/4?

Wow, that's crazy. I honestly think that they ranked the 911 Carrera way too low. I mean hell, which car won several Le Mans in a row... The lightness of a Prelude undoubtedly results in responsive steering, but the 911's do not outweigh the 2G Preludes. The rest of the cars they have on there (Esprit, Supra) are tanks that will obviously have the steering of one.

What a strange list of cars they picked. More suitable competition from that period would be: Lotus Elan, Mitsubishi Starion, Rx-7, Supercharged MR2... It's like putting a little thin guy against a room full of obese men and telling them to maneuver across an obstacle course.

The 2g prelude has a better weight distribution (50/50) that allows for the better handling.
And that road test was done in '84 with the base model prelude. For more reading on 2g ludes, go here http://www.preludepower.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28519

yah.. but still a swap from a 3.0 to a 3.2 (CL) your looking at like 8000-12000 for the swap... putting on in a rsx is just rediculous.. instead of wasting your money on that why dont you buy me ZEX or something.. 🙂

RSX type S owns preludes from every angle. The only thing a prelude is good for is a donor car for the engine to stick into an EF.

And preludes handle like shit, noseheavy pigs.

                                    RSX-S > Prelude VTEC....

Bullshit. Bring your RSX. Although the K20 is indeed technologically superior, H22A makes up in displacement. Yes there is understeer, but guess what. All FWD have some degree of understeer.
