speakers not working

Ok, so my g/f took her car through the car wash yesterday and her speakers quit working. My guess is somehow water got in the door, got between the two wires to the speaker and shorted out the inside of the radio. I cant think of any other reason why all 4 speakers would stop at the same time after going through the car wash. The radio still turns on and the display isnt fucked up at all or anything. Any body got any ideas?

On some decks even if one speaker wire gets shorted out if will put the deck into protection and none of them will work. Check to see if you have a shorted out wire or if one of the speakers are shorted out/blown.

Or another option..... It could have a premium sound system in it and there may be a factory seperate amplifier which may have a seperate fuse that may be blown. But without no vehicle and option info, there is no way to even delve any further into it diagnostic wise.

its an aftermarket fosgate. It came with the car and it sucks ass. Its a pain in the ass to change the deck in this car though, so thats why I havnt changed it.

yeah, i would say one of the speakers is shorted which would cause them all to stop playing. even if one is unhooked, it could stop playing all of em.

ok, so when it warms up a bit, I guess I'll take apart the door and see if the speakers are blown/shorted out. Everyone thinks it would be at the speaker end, not the player end, right?

definately the speaker...check all the fuses too.
