i had that problem when I had american family insurance........they wanted to use used parts. Most insurance companies try to get buy as cheap as possible.

Every insurance company i have dealt with used used parts. The parts they would be replacing would have been used so why should brand new ones be bought? I wouldn't settle for aftermarket parts but whats the big deal of used oem parts?

I dont know, I think its pretty fair, I mean your car isn't brand new, its USED.
If you were spending your money on it, I'm fairly sure all of you would get an aftermarket bumper or an aftermarket fender, rather then blowing a shit load of money at the dealership for it...

some of you guys will put a worthless bombz muffler on your car but you will throw a fit over a fender that has not been boxed up by Honda?
what about a cf hood or aftermarket rims? I know all of you rock the $5 dollar knock off K & N air filters....

I have the same thing going on. Both of my parents think that since I bought my car, I should have to pay the "correct" amount of insurance based on my driving record, even though it will cost me an assload more money. I guess I just need to chill out a little on the driving, but all that stuf was within the first 9 months I had my license, what can I say the Vigor was a race car! I have learned my lesson by now tho. Anyways, I am meeting with state farm tomorrow to see what they can do for me, because my dad called the agent and told her that if she doesn't get a better rate, we are switching our home, life and auto insurance to a different company! maybe there is hope.
