Dammit, I didn't see the original post, but my 350hp LS1 gets 31 MPG cruising at 80mph. My SRT with 250whp only got about 26 MPG at best:D

I'll sum it up for you.

        Basically.

Muscle car owners think they are hot shit when they aren't.
a 5.0 liter will have mote hp because it has mroe cylinders
If Honda made a 5.0 liter engine, it would have double the hp as an aerican with the same displacement, and still get 30 mpg
Since an indy honda engine is only 3.5L, if a honda 5 liter would come out, it would be used to power jets.

Muscle care motors use a ton of oil, get poor gas mileage, and are no longer the top of the food change.

        Imports rule, domestics rule.

        The typical ricer arguements...

Ahh yes, I've seen this ricer argument before.

Even if Honda did make a 5.0 V8 that made 600hp it would probably only make 140 ft/lbs of torque@9000 rpm

          😄 JK

              HAHAHA!!! naws...

v8, v6, 4cyl, whatever.. it's all about weight-to-power, and how well it can be put to the ground 🙂

              but isn't that obvious? :icon_scratch:

One thing ive wondered, isn't it true that usually the smaller components are the more efficient they are? I was watching some engineering program where they can make jet engines that are the size of a stamp that are MANY MANY times more efficient than regular jet engines just because efficiency increases as size decreases. With that being the case, isn't it obvious that a 4cyl will be more efficient than 8 cylinders most of the time? I dont know what im trying to prove with all this just figured id say it 😄

Well I jsut insured my muscle car yesterday, and even though it isn't anywhere near as nice as my honda, its more fun to drive, and the fact I have 400hp is kinda fun too. I agree on the engine theory, the smaller engines always seem to run longer and stronger than the big v6 and v8 engines, but I think that is because there is less moving parts and lighter parts. Plus most imports weigh a lot less than domestic cars, meaning less stress on the engine to move them, now compair my 79 TA to a honda and you'll see what I mean.

Ya muslce car owners will always think their bad ass, especially the older guys who hate imports with a passion. And yes I will think I am bad ass in my car, but I think that no matter what I am driving, lol.

Yes it may be more efficient, but it isn't gonna make shit for power.

Efficiency and reliability is not determined by the number of cylinders an engine has.

This really is funny. Everyone in what ever car they like, think thats the car to have. Anyway who cares, I have loved both domestics and imports. Someone said who cares as long as its fast, and thats where I stand today. I no longer have any brand loyalty or anything. I have just come to the conclusion that no car is better than any other when you really start pouring the coals to em. I drive imports right now but would probably trade the RX7 in on a 05 Stang GT in a heartbeat if I could afford to. F*ck it if your car rocks it rocks and nobody can deny you that. With that said who cares if some guy with a muscle car is proud of his wheels..? This next thing I have to say is off the topic a bit but along the same lines. Its about daddy boughten cars. I read somthing in here awhile back about who cares if someones car is daddy boughten, and it went on to say you would take it to if offered to you. Ya correct I would as would most others. Most dont care that someones parents bought em a new kick ass car, good for them. What really gets under peoples skin is how "some" of those kids look down on others who have worked and paid for their own car with their own $. I am not saying all kids the have a daddys car are like that. I know one kid with a daddy boughten Z06 who was actually down to earth with the rest of the crowd. Like I said off the topic a bit but I just wanted to throw that out there. No one really hates the fact someones parents bought em a car. They just hate how some act once they get the new STI or whatever from their parents.

maybe we act like it cause its kinda annoying when people use the term daddy instead of parents. sure it's the same meaning, but it's also kind of ignorant when people use it that way. people might tend to 'look down' cause they know it could get to their skin if those people keep saying daddy this daddy that. kinda irritating.

                                          thats just my take.
