nice build...it should be fun. Upgrade that turbo setup and you'll have a fast D

Looks good....
Dont you want to "break it in" how you are going to drive it??
So like if you are going to drive hard break it in hard??
Is that the correct way -

Is that the correct wayall depends on what engine builder you talk to.
I know guys who have had cars on the dyno within a few miles of motor assembly (I also know a guy who put a BUNCH of miles on one night on the 494-694 loop between install and dyno time).
If you had motor work done, talk to them and see what they say.

i always thought that you were supposed to break them in hard also. but then i read a bunch of forms that said to not boost and dont bring it above
4k. i put about 150 miles on it and now im boosting 5psi. i figure that will be good for a few days..... -
I believe you're supposed to break an engine in hard due to something with the way the rings seal on a hard break in vs a babied break in...

Who is tuning?

It's gonna see BIG boost this week.

Nope.
-
tuned for 19 psi as of last night

-
have any clue what kidna power your making at 19 psi
you gonna race it on the 10th
-
no idea how much power its makinh but its pulls like a bat outa hell. lol and real low too. yea im gonna race on the 10th...hopefully with some new stuff.
-
how does it run now w/o the downstraw??

The way I always break my motors in is to don't give the car alot of high revs at first, but do mild boost and do 10 runs in 1st gear and then let motor vacuum pull down, then 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc. My motor has a 7200 or so redline, so I revved it to 3k,4k,5k, but no more than 5500. Each time let it vacuum pull to slow. Put about 30 miles on it doing this and then change the oil to whatever your going to run. Preferrably Mobil 1 synthetic 10w-30. I've had good luck doing this.
