Being as Fargo would be like the 2nd or 3rd largest city in MN I don't really find that overly amazing. Plus the pay is better in MN so suck on that.

What does population size have to do with it? Pay better be higher in MN....everything costs more! You fools that haven't gotten out of that shit hole state are just jealous:icon_geek: -
Property taxes what? Also the size of the city affects how many businesses think it'd be a worthwhile investment to move there, thus creating more jobs. Fargo obviously has a better chance at getting businesses than a city like Hawley (Hawley Would), Glyndon, Zerkel, Fergus, etc. just because it's so much larger.

property taxes are only part of the equation. I'll take my property taxes being slightly higher, since my income tax is lower in ND.

Why are property taxes higher in ND than MN?Smaller population to pay for the schools/roads/etc. A 10000 sq ft school building costs the same to heat, a/c, etc.. in ND as it does in MN. Add that many kids ride the bus for 1 or more hours a day in rural ND and you can see why there is a need for more taxes to pay for the schools. Add road maintenance and emergency service to the rural areas.
But yes, the property tax is more in ND than MN, but as I stated earlier, the income tax is better here, which to me is more important.

Well obviously Fargo is better than Moorhead, but when you start to compare states North Dakota does not even come close to Minnesota. GDP is key.....

MN has better scenery and ways to pass time. So you pay a little less on income/sales tax, whoppee. At least there is something both states DON'T do that we should all love. I've heard rumors that some states do this weird Emissions Testing on vehicles or something...never heard of that in our 2 states though.

That list is based off of unemployment. I'm not a racist or anything but you look at that list and I find that it is interesting that all those cities are mainly white communities. Compared to New Orleans that has one of the worst unemployment rates. And they wonder why they have this stereotype... Plus up here you have to work to pay your heat bill...Down south it ain't as big a deal.

10 largest cities (2005 est.): Minneapolis, 372,811; St. Paul, 275,150; Rochester, 94,950; Duluth, 84,896; Bloomington, 81,164
10 largest cities (2005 est.): Fargo, 90,672
So it'd be the 4th largest City, and I'd be willing to bet in 5 years it'd be the 3rd
I still say ND sucks though
