Racer of the Year

but Matt Faul should have been on the list instead of harwood
-
Eh I dont care if its a wagon or a van... Chuck has an auto for gods sake! I will put money down that chuck will run faster times next year then shane and keep is auto transmission to do that.
Much props to chuck, nick, and the rest except harwood... bleh.
My vote went to dave for the pure fact there are supras making 300 more whp then him and not running 9's.

I think Dave knocked most tenths off from last year. Going from a 10's to low 9's. I think Nate is next with the only 4 cylinder car in the 10's...even though it is AWD..:) I'm not sure who the fastest fwd is. I knocked over 5 tenths off my last years time. I went from a 11.77 to a 11.25. So close to 10's, but no more season left to let her rip.
Maybe next year.

I'll vote for Dave cause of all the shit he went through to get where he is now. Nate on the other hand gets my vote for effort of the year with his whole fiasco the day he ran his 10.80. That's fuckin racing.
what happened that day? i was outta town -

Dave has an auto and wouldn't be near as quick without one. The quickest cars in the world are all autos. The manuals have the disadvantage. You run what you brung. It's their choice to run an auto or a manual. I think a manual can be easily just as quick as a manual just not NEAR as consistent. And alot better chance of fucking up.

Actually, Shane has gone faster and won more shows. Not hating on Chuck, just facts. And it's a wagon.
ye, shane has me on 1/4 mile times...much props! I think I have him on 1/8 mile though (8.15) the last time I raced this year (in harvey...also cut a perfect reaction time...twice
) which was .6 seconds faster through 660 feet than I did in sabin when I ran my 13.1. Again, not hating on shane, he has a very nice, very clean car....and done right in my opinion. Hard to argue w/ a car that is a daily driven car that runs 12.7's at the track and wins awards at HIN and autovations. -

In that case, with high HP, turbo cars, you're wrong.
The numbers prove it, the racers will tell you the same.

I wish I had a good auto! I went from 11.9s to 11.4 this year, but unlike Faul I left the nitrous (and the big turbo) at home.

J/K Matt.
Too bad you ditched the FWD game. Nobody to play but me next year and the new parts are definately gonna make it interesting. -

I did fuck that sentence up didn't I? What I meant is that you can still pull as fast a time with a manual trans. But reproducing that same feat is gonna be alot harder to do if not next to imposible because of user error if nothing else.
