Lookin good lookin good. I need to get a tig so I can get started on my compounds for my 3rd gen.

That is just absolutely amazing. How does he get the "zig-zag" effect? Iv messed around with a tig before, and can lay a pretty decent bead, but this just blows me away.

A friend and I were discussing it over lunch today, and I was curious how it turned out. I might do this on a old set of atv tires for ice fishing this winter.

Im trying to find the thread where someone put sharpened bolts through some old tires and used them for a ice cross or something along those lines.

I searched a few times and cannot find it. I dont remember who started it either. But if someone could maybe point me in the right direction that would be great.

I'd join that forum and post questions on there as well if you hit a rough spot. Most of the people on there are willing to help, just be as specific as you can regarding the questions and make sure you search before you ask.

Thanks for the very good and specific info. I will be sure to join that forum. The only reason I haven't joined a android forum is because I was planning on going for a iphone but I think I might keep the android for awhile.

Well i downloaded z4root from some aandroid forum and my phone downloaded it and then blocked it from opening.

FWIW, you can download z4root for your captivate and literally root it right from the application. From there (since you are new to it) I'd download titanium backup (lite) and back-up all your files before attempting to run a new rom/kernel. The easiest method I've found for basic rom installation is to download "Rom Manager Premium" from the android market. From there you can browse some of the more popular roms available (including some beta/"Daily" builds) and flash them right from Rom Manager. Once you have flashed you will need to run Titanium Backup again to restore the apps that you lost when your phone was wiped during the install of the new rom.

Would someone please explain the whole "rooted" thing to me? I have a samsung capivate and want to get the most out of it, oh and I am with at&t, i guess alltel, if that matters.

tempting... Hows the body minus what we can see in the pictures. Any rust? Kinda looks like a spot in front of the rear wheel. How is the interior?

I can deal with the rotary pump if I have to. Also, could you find out if they are an industrial engine or a automotive engine please.

i was planing on using turbo 400 for a trans. I just need to find a ag salvage yard that doesnt have a bunch of crap like the ones around my area. Another area of concern is if it was a automotive engine or a industrial, I guess changing governor springs wouldnt be that bad.

I am looking for a 4bt cummins (4 cylinder 3.9l turbocharged) preferably with the inline bosch injection pump, but I will take what I can get. I wont shoot down something that needs a little work, like bearings rolled in or something.

They do make larger vgt turbos, like off of the ISX. Although I am not sure if you can control them with the fleece controller or not, I dont see why it wouldnt work.
