Are you fucking serious? Have you ever seen what it costs if you are being treated for cancer? My dads bills we're well into the multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars. My mom would be FUCKED right now if it wasn't for insurance. Regardless of how big their nest egg was. Even WITH insurance, it still cost $30-40k with copays etc etc etc. Get real Gary, it's not all about simple doctor visits or cavitys. Some people have REAL problems that cost more than a "couple hundred bucks" on a "simple bill".This isn't about socialized healthcare, it's just pointing out how flawed your "logic" is on being able to fly without insurance.
And btw, weren't you in the service? You probably get damn near free healthcare the way it is, no?
I am working with a company that is taking over the contract from Humana, for Tricare which is the "provider" that oversees military personal.
From what I hear, there's a reason why it was free.

i'm trying to find a 5th gen with a damaged screen (obviously, because it would be cheaper) so i can do some tinkering.
A bit perplexed then of what your question exactly is? Within the same post, you also show the resolution, the 5th generation Ipod and the one shown in the tutorial , would work the same.
Are your questions more relating to the actual process of opening the ipod up? If so, there are plenty of tutorials on that process specifically out there.

a couple of us have been having various debates that are merely theoretical at this point. any input would be appreciated
one of my arguments is that it would be possible to install a larger harddrive into a 5g ipod and then just do the basic repair to restore functionality with more space. as a follow-up to this idea, i think it would also be a possibility to get a zif cable to connect to the ipod logic board and then (using a couple of other connectors), have a sata or ide drive of any size connect to the ipod. after running the repair... voila! 250gb or even 2tb of ipod data!this page has something similar to my plan: http://www.command-tab.com/2005/03/13/ipod-super/
jim, do you have much experience in this field? i would anticipate you to be the best source of info on hacking the ipod.
What generation Ipod? Touch and Iphone use flash RAM, and a self signed logic, the details on that are unsure. 5th Gen and lower are quite easy to do, exactly as the link as followed, only problem your going to find is Q&A on standard desktop/notebook drives (yes even notebooks) aren't designed for volatile movements such as the 2 particular brands (Toshiba and Hitachi made 2 specific drives for Apple)

I see that thing all the time down by Amber Valley. Interesting.
Those are apartments correct?
The owner lives in an apartment, what a foolish man with his money. Rather then spend it on a home that would appreciate, he spends it on a "toy" that will depreciate.
PM Me, I got some stuff I want to video with the new toy.
Where is AutoX going on?
And should I bring my GMC or the R8? :0

I really don't want to start a 'poop/fan' scenario, but I wanted to comment on this (not directed at anyone in particular, while Ethan was directed towards Will). If you openly hate or try to effect our business, please have the common sense NOT to show up at ANY of our events. It takes a lot of self control not to be a prick and make someone leave when they come to the P10 show, previous track days, show and shines, cruises. Shane and I both agree that from this point forth, we ARE going to be 'those guys' and boot you from the event or property. I don't see why anyone that talks smack about us, or constantly tries to take business away from us would want to be affiliated by anything we organize? :drunken_smilie:
You don't have to like our shop, or us. Competition is a healthy part of business and life, but there are lines and those lines are commonly crossed by a few on here. Being civil is easy, and keeps everyone welcome at our events.
So your events are not open to the public then?

I don't doubt your judgement, anyone who drives like a fool is an asshat. I'm more annoyed with some members who quickly questioned this individual's race and income based on his color. Thought it was some weird number like $24 or something stupid. I don't care about the stupid ticket, I care about my insurance.
