I have this for my desktop and no complaints. And it's in stock at your local store.

2.2L Non IC Turbo II, easy upgrade is the IC and piping from the Shelby. But you'll also need the PCM (ECU ) to get the fuel maps right. Also the throttle body from 87-89 3.0L V6 Lebarons, Caravans, etc is an easy bolt on upgrade. Obviously the AC can go since it looks seized. But you'll have to keep the bracket or find/fab up a bracket from a non-AC 2.2/2.5L car since it is the pivot point for the Alt.

This is a great parts site....pretty much the best

Since it's an 88 what motor does it have?

    Is it the 2.5L T1 non-intercooled or the 2.2L T2 intercooled?

The tiny mitsu turbo on the T1 is pretty wimpy, but the T3 turbo from the T2 will fit the manifold. The T3 on the Turbo II models is actually good for about 250hp or so.

Also if you have the 2.5L, look into eliminating the BS shafts in the oil pan. It saps a ton of power and really doesn't work that great anyways (they were an afterthought).

You can actually buy the whole control arm now with the ball joint already in it for about $100 or balljoint for $15-30.

CV shafts run $40 for reman to $60 for new.

The Stage 2 kit is available with a Mitsu flange and you can fab it up however you want it...Just seeing if someone maybe had one laying around. Guess i'll be ordering that then.

And yeah...I know about the motor. Total PITA. All that i'm finding is 240sx E's and trucks that are rusted out but people still want $2k + for them.

If anything keep an eye out. I'd like to get started on the motor as the intake is about rdy to get PCd and the harness is coming along.

    Thanks,

I am just about rdy to start my swap into my 720. Only thing left is to get a motor. Preferred as complete as possible since im not sure what parts will fit best or interchange.

I would be willing to buy the whole truck even if non-running, rusted out, but would need to be under say $800 or so.

    KA24E from 1989+

Also is anyone has a top-mount turbo manifold with Mitsu flange for an E i'm looking for one of those too. I know where I can buy it new, just checking to see if someone has one lying around.

    umm....

    (1) NT pistons cant handle more than 8-10psi due to the ring lands being so high on the piston. If you want a higher compression turbo motor....put in higher compression TURBO pistons.

    (2) A 7bolt bottom end cannot fit in a 6-bolt block. That whole point of going to a 6-bolt is to get away from the 7-bolt bottom end.

Thanks, and yes...there are actually 2 4x4 grinds for the SOHC.

And since I plan on running aftermarket pistons...im skipping the squirters. There effects are minimal at best and I would rather have the oil pressure.

And I have been on KA-T.org, but it seems no one really cares about a ol' 720 Datsun with a SOHC KA swap and turbo.... At least not until the snow hits and they get stuck...

    Well....we'll put it this way....

1982 Datsun 4x4 KK. The Naps Z 2.2 has to go....way to much vac. line, too little power and I really dont like carbs that much anymore...especially one with 50 vac. lines.

KA24E is an easy swap since the D21 Hardbody used almost an indentical chassis. And they actually used the same Z24 when the D21 appeared. And the KA24E shares the same block.....mostly. So the block basically drops right in. Even the sumps and oil pans work well.

Also....I want a strong low-end/midrange puller for offroading. And the curves of the SOHC are much nicer for my plans. A simple 14b/16g with pistons, rods and supporting items along with a 2.4L should make for a very early spooling turbo with tons of torque. Im looking for much here, just over 200hp/200ft lbs with a very strong and flat torque curve. So, no need for a radical built motor...heck...I dont really plan on rev'n over 6k. I never go over 3500 with the Z22.

As for the 240sx gear....according to the 720 guys, the intake is a much cleaner fit under the hood since the TBI intake from the truck would hit the hood. Plus, the 240 intake is a bit easier to route for turbocharging. And since I have to use the intake, TB and fuel rail....I need the harness and ECU to match. It's not really hard honestly...I just need to find a dam motor that someone either doesn't want or doesn't run....both of which are proving to be difficult.

Oh....and I already have the 240sx (SOHC) intake, tb and fuel rail, etc.

Hope that helps with why the engine choice....oh, and the 240sx block doesn't match my mounts like the truck block does. I can however, use the 240sx tranny.....might consider that. But, granny gear does wonders for pulling overgrown Chevy's and Fords from the muck.

Need a 88-9x KA24E from a D21 Hardbody truck. Need the complete motor with accessories if possible. Motor does not need to run but needs to be rebuildable. Willing to purchase a truck if needed.

Also need a KA24E wiring harness and ECU from 88-9x 240sx with MT.

And if someone knows of or if SLS can make a manifold for mounting a Mitsu turbo to a KA24E. I may consider Garrett style but, im looking at using what I have ftm.

And yes...this is for a swap...but im not telling for what.

    W Wizard

Like it says, I picked up a 92 AWD MT as my new DD so these 2 NTs are getting parted.

94 is almost completed with the head and block spoken for as well as the side markers, PS fender and door. The rest is up for grabs. Front and rear bumpers are tits. Rear wing is good too. Car is white with beautiful gray cloth.

90 is a maroon laser. The motor is going to my GVR4 build. Tranny is good other than the End clutches need to be replaced...i've just been too lazy for a car that never saw over 45mph for 2 years. It was pretty much the most reliable car ever. Int is gray and pretty dirty. DS is good, PS is completely dinged so not worth anything. The tails are great, front markers are both bood as are the pop-ups.

Pics available just tell me what you need.

Also have lots of other crap from other turbo cars and stuff. Weisco pistons NIB, aluminum oil pan, water pipes, Turbo FWD AT tranny, diffs, 36k FWD Turbo trans with broken 1-2 fork, etc.
