A retired body shop guy. I think I am his first import. He has done quite a few muscle show cars.

Still faster than you though. Yeah the vette was a hand full and was not handling really well. I built it to sell it not race it. I know you secretly idolize Jeremy, its why you both have mustangs right? bwahah. See ya later JG, tell Rick hello for me!

ACT makes a good product when i had an ACT single disk, full face, HD it had no problem hooking for 1.5-1.6 60fts i beat the piss out of it, you could slip it to the point where it would smoke, and yet not slip at all the instant after you quit slipping it and disengaged the clutch 100% PP, FW, and the disk looked great when i took it apart the last time I wonder if it is defferrent for other apps. other friends of mine told not to get it because they arent very forgiving to the transmission, and they lock-out a lot. I have yet to notice any signs of trans damage..but i have gotten lock-out quite a bit. as far as slipping goes, i think it was just because it was hot. awd launches tend to give a beating to clutches, espically full face sing disks...or least as far as i have been told. I am going to do a little test on it before do anything with it, because it stunk like burn clutch the whole drive home.

i have already been down broken tranny blvd, i wasnt that thrilled. i tried dumping the clutch, since the act heavy duty is known for grabbing like a s.o.b. and it grabbed...followed by a giant lurch, bog, and shudder. when i tried slipping it, it still bogged but it didnt lurch or shudder. i would much rather had gotten a twin disk at the time, but with the time i needed it, it wasnt an option. so ill just stick with the act for now and deal with the lock out untill i get it built. the more i think about it, my main problem seem to be my launch..mainly my 2 step. i think i might turn the 2 step up to 5800, or 6000 when i start logging. that should keep me from bogging, as for the lock out...ill see where my powerband starts to drop, and shift around then..or something.

Even if the "fun run" is what someone is looking for, Rock Falls does the same thing. Run indexes, if you get bumped switch the lettering on your car to T/T and go up. They run test and tune between every class of indexed cars.

I am thinking of going to an air shifter the thing is starting to become to much of a hand full to be foot shifting.:icon_pale: damn thats sick good job

No broken parts this time out. I had the trailer with just in case. Bringing a trailer is a lot more work versus just driving it to the track and driving home.. Remember those days Matt and Dave?? That run was one of my typical passes, I have had uglier ones. Just getting used to it I guess. I wish I had in car of my last BIR pass. That one got me a little nervous. I thought about checking my drawers when I got back to the pits.

I was running yoko A032 hards, 205 wide on 15" wheels. I bought them (and the Kosen K1's they're mounted on) from a fellow BMW club member used.. they had like 8 days on them when i got them so there's very little of the cross-hatch tread pattern left. This would be my 3rd track day on them. I don't think 110 is "that" fast since i could always do it at 100+ on street tires in my M5.. and was doing in the very high 90s if not 100 mph in that car in the rain. (unless my memory is way off). I think there is a problem with my suspension setup. The issue is that towards the apex of T2 the pavement has so many bumps and seams in it... the rear starts moving around more than i want it to and it feels very similar to the way it does coming out of 4 or 6 just before it breaks away (and i get to catch it). I suspect that the stiffness of my springs is partly to blame but i'm running a matched spring set front and rear. i've got a bunch of polyurethane in the back that the front doesn't have but there's not all that much rubber compliance in the front suspension design to begin with... just the lollipop bushings on the control arms...and perhaps the strut mounts I don't want to be lame and run downforce on the car if its really a mechanical grip issue.
