If they are plastic try to find some plastic polish to finish up after the rubbing compound. I would think most rubbing compounds would be too abrasive not to follow up with something else.

thats fucked up, a fire started in the engine bay..lol i've had a fire come up from underneath the cab of my f-350 duely on our way to louisville kentuckey we had a full size gooseneck horse trailer waying without horses at a 10,000 pounds but this one was full four horses, all the tack for show, carts, hay, the works.
