Got a lot done on this car picked up a 4.8 for now going to use part's out it when i build the new motor, picked a th-400 for cheap and it work's. Bought an aje racing k-member, picked up a used umi th-400 trans crossmember that had to get modifed to fit the car.
well beahbum, hauled the calves and finally had it loaded heavy
works great for keeping my EGT's good and all that stuff in check but there is only one thing that i get that is a nuisance.
if i am in OD with the converter locked and i am going slower than 60 mph with a big load you cant go beyond 20psi or i get compressor surge which is gay but i can live with..... anything at or above 60mph i can go full throttle with a load
made a little gay vid to show what kind of response it has and how loud the compressor is at low boost especially
from a dead stop accelerating normally and i stab the throttle for a quick second. rolls from 15psi to 40psi like nothing
would be interesting to see the actual difference on a manual truck

no, your good. this is where people learn. If you get opinions from people who have already been there, there is no wasted money in learning from other peoples mistake or success. There are alot of different opinions on rx7club. but you have to consider the people giving these opinions and the expertise that they actually have. I know i have wasted a lot of money by taking peoples advise who sounded like they knew what they were talking about.

The topper covers the tailgate up by 1 inch regularly so its about a 3 inch opening. Nothing that I Have in my Bed can fit through it(only Shovels and a snow blower). I will see if the ice/snow becomes a problem, if so, I will address it.
I'm digging it chance, I almost bought one just like it right after graduation.
+1 for turbos.

Well it already has true duals with glasspacks...sounds alright i guess, but i want louder. Gonna be my daily driver but i want to give it some more power...any ideas?

Yea, it will obviously depend on the turbo/cams/IM/etc, but assuming he stays stock B16 head and not too big of a turbo, it will drop off early enough.
