yeah, your right...the only thing coolant is really for is to keep the temperatures lower and keep the water from boiling away
-
yes i know...i am agreeing.

I think that i read somewhere that straight antifreeze works better for heat transfer, but is like a "racing only" brake pad. You have to get it all heated up, then drive the piss out of it, then flush the system. Oh, and it's harder on your engine for some reason.

yeah thats what i thought, but i just wanted to know cuz i was in a pinch the other day where a coolant hose came off and all i had was coolant so i just did straight coolant.

yes people should just not be cheap and buy it 50 50 to begin with in my book, but i guess if you wnat to save a few bucks do what works best for you

Why in the fuck would you buy it 50/50? You are paying the same price, if not more for half of the coolant mixed with water.,your paying for 100% distilled water mixed with it, which is what is to be used in your coolant system. Although, depending on the manufacture (chrysler specifically), the coolant comes straight 100% coolant....yet Honda is 50/50 mixed.

yes i agree with you that paying the same price seems a little rediculious, but at the same time its not like its expensive and is a lot more handy to have it already mixed when you need it
