why you say fail? i think it's a clever idea

      There are a few reasons

      • in many prepared cars, it's common to have the brake fluid resivoirs on top of the dash (or where the dash would go) on the passenger side. this gives them high visibility and can give you an indication of brake system failure before you've commited yourself to using up 100% of your stopping power. The 240 in this thread offers no visibility of the brake fluid levels

      • even in cars where resivoir visibility is not a concern, the brake fluid system is one of the most serviced systems on the car. putting it behind the instrument cluster seems ridiculous. A diligent crew is checking the fluid level after every session. How easy is it to bleed the brakes here? Is there enough room to attach a pressure bleeder? How much stuff do you have to move out of the way just to check or top off your fluild?

      • brake fluid ruins almost everything it touches. even in a car with a stripped interior, i don't want brake fluid anywhere near anything that matters. i don't want it near my electrical harnesses, and i don't want to have my brake system maintenance tools going over my seats, my steering wheel, etc, when its time to re-bleed the system. I don't think i've ever managed to do a brake fluid job without getting 1 drop of fluid somewhere. That 1 spilled drop (or considerably more, if you make a mistake) may as well not be on the way to getting down inside the dashboard.

I've never seen it done this way before. The reasons above are ones i can think of that seem disadvantageous. It looks like a nicely prepared car otherwise, so this seems like an uncharacteristic mistake or omission. This may be the work of someone that hasn't been around many prepared road-race cars or hasn't had to do work in the pits.

Its an AMAZING car. I would love to own it. I would trade the red car for it..... maybe.

It is FAR from a race car. He said he was going to drift it, but never happened. It is more showy then race. That is why the master cylinder is inside the car under the dash. I would do it on my car, as it keeps the fluid and lines away from the hot turbo and manifold.

Except his car is RHD therefore his MC would be on the Intake side now.

What is the stock JDM setup?

Just like the USDM but everything comes out the other side.

There is really no issue with it being inside until it leaks.

Stock JDM setup is on the intake side. All the S-chassis motors are intake on passnger side. The steering column is something that has to be taken into account when a larger than stock elbow/downpipe is being installed.

My only gripe and complaint about the car:

He couldn't have gone bigger than a 2871R? Kinda weak considering everything else he did...
