Window Tint Limitations??

I plan on tinting the Z when it arrives but i want the windows dark but not so dark that every time the heat drives by they pull me over. What is a safe percentage to go with without getting ticketed for it?

what state you live in plays a part. If its Nd the cback can be as dark as you want. and the front is 50%. if its MN 50% around the whole car except the windsheild.

depends on what you like I guess. i don't see any reason to do it, makes you look like a drug dealer imo. a strip across the top is nice for the evil, relentless, unforgiving sun in the summer tho. you aren't going to be able to get your front window dark enough to keep your car from getting hot unless you don't need to see to drive if thats what you are thinking. the max in ND for the front is 70% so any more than that and you are looking at a ticket.

cuz i went into TM a few weeks back and they quoted me something around 250 for sides and back. ive just never considered tinting the front, but now im getting second thoughts. i just envey the cars that i drive by on the street and you look over and i woulnd even be able to tell if they were driving naked for that matter, just really dark. and thats what i want, but w/o the tickets

i think im gonna go 50% in the the driver and passenger windows, then the back three windows at like 5%. i guess thats one way to play it safe.

im more of a meth kinda guy but thats a different story franticly scrathces neck lol. but i would like tint like that but not the tickets, ya know what i mean?

I like the tint that's on the lexus but wouldn't mind getting the front windows matched to the rears. Troy if you read this do you happen to know what percentages you have on the car??

my z had 20 all around... was only pulled over 3 times in the almost 3 years i had the car (1 ticket). i believe its 50% for being legal on the front side windows, atleast thats what the cop told me... depends on how dark you want it, 30 would probably be pretty nice all around.

i would not go 5% on the back. My GTO was 5% all around, and it was a fucker to drive at night. No mirrors at all, i had to plan my backup route before i got into the car. go 50% or 35% on the sides and 20% or 10% on the back. 5% is overkill and i think 20% is the best bet.
