Can't watch at work but there was custom build on stangnet several years ago where the guy turned the side scoops on the rear quarters into functional intakes for his remote twins...is the mustang in this video green?

Thats pretty badass. Looks like more work to put the turbos in the back, instead of the front though.

It really is alot easier. Most of the classes these guys run in require the exhaust to exit past the firewall anyway, and now getting a 2.5" or 3" pipe to the back is way easier than getting a 5" or a couple 4-5" DPs in there. Also they all run huge W2A intercoolers in the cockpit, and with this the air flows rear>front in a nice straight line instead of fitting 2 pipes through the firewall. Also when this was built the total piping was alot less than a regular front mount system, therefore more efficient. Not to mention the huge amount of room gained in the engine compartment and the added weight in the rear of the car to balance it out.

I know of a guy who is changing his single turbo setup on his F150 to twins mounted in the box...going to be similar to same setup as this mustang

                          meh...

A remote system no matter how well designed cannot be as efficient as a non remote system with the same amount of designing....

Still thats a lot of piping running back there, 2 IC pipes, 2 exhaust pipes. Running an oil pump and oil lines, then oil return lines. I'm guessing they needed some brackets or something to hold the turbos in place. Idk, either way it works good on that car.
