Ok guys i have been tossing up the idea of getting a 96 gsx from a guy in town. The problem with the car is that it has the JDM Cyclone 6bolt with no ECU/ECM. So.......

Does anyone know where i can get the Cyclone ECU/ECM.
    Or....
Can you switch the intake manifolds & ECU to the OEM computer???

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm pretty sure the cyclone manifold is completely vacuum controlled aka no ecu required to run it. If he says its running rough, BE CAUTIOUS. I'm fairly certain I've seen this ad myself. Get the motor checked out and ditch the cyclone mani anyway.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Capacitors go bad in the ECU's all the time, atleast in 1G's. Save yourself the trouble, find a cheap ecu and bring it with...take it for an extended test drive, through it in there and see how she does. Check the compression and timing as well(check the belt alignment as well, as 1 tooth is enough to have issues). If you can't do all of this, spend the money and take it to a shop..DSMs are a dime a dozen and buying a shitty one is just more trouble than its worth!

Cyclone is a vacuum controlled manifold, get yourself a 96 AWD ECU...

                    Check ebay or DSM tuners.

You can take out the butterflys in the manifold .

Why do you think the ECU is bad? Just because is spits and sputters means the ECU is bad? Then I guess my Evo ECU is shot!
