Can chuck get Tang Band or just have Atomic build an identical speaker?

Also the ones you sold were a W8-740C. I can only find a W8-740P. Are they the same sub with a new part #?

Identical in ALL parameters except power handling. The c's were rated at a lil less total power. Chuck can get both the Tang Bands and the Atomics. By the looks of them, I'd be tempted to do the Atomics. See what Chuck can do for you.

If you do an Atomic MA series the output would be the same, but the box size would be about 1/2 of what the Tangband requires.

I have 6 of the MA-8's going into a 2.0 cubic foot vented enclosure.

HMMMMMMM 1/2 The the box size? That sounds pretty sweet. I might be intersted in that.

What kind of weight would the ma's be, two of them in sepereate boxes? Would 1/2" be enough or should the box be 3/4"?

I'd say 5/8" would be the minimum you'd want to use in any circumstance...Unless you are bracing the crap out of the box and putting fiberglass resin on the inside of the box to make it a bit more rigid.

Shooting from the hip on weight (based on memory) each one weighs about 8 to 10 lbs. I'd say that if you have a pair of them, in a box of about 1 cuft total (including port volume) would weigh ~35-40 lbs...maybe less.

Just so EVERYONE knows. These were a AWESOME DEAL. The package price I have sold these at will NOT be what its going to cost for a different set up. I sold these for what I had into them. If I have to build new enclosures, I wont do it for free. It will cost more. How much really depends.
