Speed Channel

This has been grinding my gears for some time now just wanted to rant a little, and see if anyone else feels the same.
The Speed Channel should change its name to all NASCAR all the time. There is rarely any motor sport on there I want to watch. DTM, ALMS, Australian V8 Supercar (those fuckers are crazy), any Rally, Baja, Dakar, pikes peak etc, MotoGP, JGTC, how's about a little drifting? All of them combined get 10% of the air time fucking NASCAR gets. I don't want to hear about licensing, because most of them already air on Speed, and I realize that NASCAR is a big cash cow. So make it its own fucking station for the tooth less hicks that want to watch it, give me one with supermoto, or those semis they turn into racing rigs, hell even Indy is more exciting than NASCAR. I was flipping back to it tonight about every hour or so hoping to see something good and all I got was coverage of the grand opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and NASCAR and Craftsman Truck races from last weekend wtf!? I'm about this close to telling my TV to skip that god damn channel.

Hey can't fault Jeff Gordon for that. Every one of those things is $$$ in his pocket. You can however wonder about the types of people that buy that stuff.

In any case I wouldn't be upset if I could find some decent motorsports that were airing on another channel. My beef is the fact that the Speed Channel airs NASCAR crap nearly round the clock, and its particularly frustrating when they are showing a re-run of a fucking Craftsman Truck race when I know there is an Aussie V8 race going LIVE at the exact same time.

HD Theater (281 on Direct TV, 364 on DISH) has more car stuff on that I care to see than Speed.

Yeah years ago when I was a direcTV subscriber speed was cool. WRC coverage and Speed World Challenge was great TV.
The only motorsports I watch now are formula 1.. and i download torrents of the BBC UK coverage. Much better than the US broadcast team.
For stuff with a very broad world-wide appea, like F1 and WRC, finding torrents is probably your best bet. Speed really is the NASCAR channel now.

Rally, f1 and stuff are not very entertaining.

How about the Australian V8 Supercars, those guys hit the rumble strips so hard half the car gets airborne. F1 has lost a lot of excitement with the current rules but is still much more entertaining than NASCAR.
