You really are "special" aren't you? I usually use my remote to flip back and forth between channels, see original post.
In any case I wouldn't be upset if I could find some decent motorsports that were airing on another channel. My beef is the fact that the Speed Channel airs NASCAR crap nearly round the clock, and its particularly frustrating when they are showing a re-run of a fucking Craftsman Truck race when I know there is an Aussie V8 race going LIVE at the exact same time.

HD Theater (281 on Direct TV, 364 on DISH) has more car stuff on that I care to see than Speed.

speed used to be so good, they used to air wrc a lot years ago, along with all kinds of neat motorsports... haven't watched the channel in a long time as my basic doesn't have it on there (fuck cable one)...

08 Honda Ruckus - Stunt Machine

Yeah years ago when I was a direcTV subscriber speed was cool. WRC coverage and Speed World Challenge was great TV.

The only motorsports I watch now are formula 1.. and i download torrents of the BBC UK coverage. Much better than the US broadcast team.

For stuff with a very broad world-wide appea, like F1 and WRC, finding torrents is probably your best bet. Speed really is the NASCAR channel now.

agreed. Even street customs is a good show. West Coast Customs had a bad tv rep after doing pimp my ride for so long, but street customs sort of gives them some sort of credibility back

You're not seriously suggesting that NASCAR is more exciting than rally? How about the Australian V8 Supercars, those guys hit the rumble strips so hard half the car gets airborne. F1 has lost a lot of excitement with the current rules but is still much more entertaining than NASCAR.

I can actually get into Monster Jam if I ignore the announcers. Those 5-6 ton trucks accelerate faster than most supercars and jump 30 feet in the air, that's fucking cool.

Yea being cars driving around a track following each other is exciting to watch. Would be fun to drive, not so fun to watch. Rally yea it would be cool to do, and those guys are crazy, probably pretty fun to see in person but on tv no. At least there is actual racing in nascar.

Yea being cars driving around a track following each other is exciting to watch. Would be fun to drive, not so fun to watch. Rally yea it would be cool to do, and those guys are crazy, probably pretty fun to see in person but on tv no. At least there is actual racing in nascar.

F1 has a MUCH broader following worldwide than NASCAR....and more excitable fans. It's really too bad that Americans have such a short attention span otherwise I'm positive that F1 would be followed more closely here, but it seems like we (as a nation) can't follow a race that involves left AND right hand turns without getting confused about who is leading and what is going on. There is so much more strategy/technology in F1 than NASCAR that its not even funny. You can't just rub and bash your way to the front and hope that your car holds up. It takes far more finesse and skill to race at ridiculously high speeds with cars that are engineered to properly race rather than compete in a high speed demolition derby.

NASCAR is the only motor sport were you can get up and go take a 30 minute shit, come back, and it's like you never left in the first place. It's THAT boring, predictable and repetitive.
Just look at Tony Stewart, the only other sports he would pass as an "athlete" in is bowling and golf.
"What do you do for a living?", "Well, I'm a professional left turner.".
Just like Zoolander, NASCAR drivers are ambiturners. 😄

Sterling Archer: Oh my god! You killed a hooker!
                                        Cyril Figgis: Call girl!
Sterling Archer: No Cyril! When they're dead they're just hookers!

Ok this is so beyond wrong. for one F1 is boring as shit compared to nascar. I'm all for watching different motorsports but serious, go drive a huge hunk of shit around a track at 190mph for hours with 40 other guys around you bumping into you. Yeah there fucking doing nothing in the cars but sipping on there caramel macchiatos. :icon_scratch:

In F1 it's "oh no i was 3.12843 mm to far in and my trajectory was a bit off so i rubbed your carbon infused honeycomb winglit yadda yadda" and your out the race.

Nascar is not something i watch and am very into but it's a hell of alot better then the 25 lap races, i mean time trails that is F1.

i love watching aussi supercars, gt racing, etc... on speed but where is the rally and other sports. For christ sake thay had lawnmower racing on the other day and not wrc?????
