I have been a professional welder for two and a half years, i'm only 19 years old. I know how to weld, so dont judge if you dont know me or my abilities. I was welding with a lincoln 300 welder. It doesnt turn down any lower than 12 amps and still welded a hole up the size of a quarter. You want to talk welding we can go at it. 😄

Read your post, it doesnt say anything about your welder YOU used. Its just you telling him not to do it because you warped the metal on your car.

And you're 19 and you are a "professional" welder since you were 16? Seems to me a "professional" would know the basics of welding expansion and contraction that causes welding and would use the right equipment for the job.

I may not know you, but you stated your abilities yourself and tried to pass your opinion off as fact. Im telling him otherwise.

Just take your time, work in small tacks and move from side to side, let the welds air cool and you should be fine.

i have black rubber plugs in the holes for now. they are the hoos side bumbers that you can pick up from macs. they are about the size of a nickel and are about a 16th to an 8th of an inch tall off of the trunk lid.

I know that much, and I do know more than just "basics". I guess I should have put a little more detail into my post, I apologize for coming off as a dick, and "profesional is a little far fetched, I guess we can say skilled welder.

I went to school for it and took the tests and became certified. I graduated at 16 also.

Bryan left highschool a little early to go to job corp to become a welder. If you ever get a chance to look at SleeperMX6's FMIC, he built the end tanks on it. That does him justice enough.

Why does everybody brush their teeth before going to the dentist but never wash their car before bring it to me??
