That is an inspiring story....I am glad I read that. What you did was a very good deed and I am glad there are people still out there that take time out of their day to help someone.

I still would like to know how a homeless person comes across almost 2 and a half cases of beer. Did he carry it around with him?

There is a liquor store just down the street from Tintmasters...he probably went over there and got it.

So he's trying to get to Seattle but he's buying beer and giving it away? Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a bus/train ticket? I'm missing something here.

There were alot of homeless people in San Antonio....one of them asked me for some change So I gave him what I had in my pocket...about 80 or so cents. he was very grateful, it feels good to help somebody.

Sounds like he's just traveling for fun and isn't in a huge hurry to get there. Who knows!

His name was Michael and he enjoys meeting new people and traveling with truckers. He is strong into God and said God is creating these journey's for him. Very polite gentleman with kids in Portland, and a few pets. He hasn't been home for 7 months and looks forward to seeing his family and friends...and pets again. !

I feel sorry for his kids. He's out dancing in the snow 2000 miles away while they're probably among the ridiculous number of homeless people in Portland.
