I am planning and buying a 1993 Nissan 300ZX Z32 and i was wondering if anyone has any possitive insight on them? i have owned Nissans in the past and currently own one and love them:icon_cheers:, but i am wondering what others think. Good Purchase or Not?

Very good purchase. That is actually on my list of next cars to buy, and im pretty picky about what i like. Look great, very easy to mod, and a huge aftermarket are all good reasons. Buy it.

They are a very sexy car IMHO and would love to own one myself Great platform to build upon. The engine is a bit cramped in there but probably much easier to work on than say...... a 3000gt/stealth.

fully agree. dont buy a 3000gt/stealth unless you want to learn to be a mechanic.

Awsome cars. Trannys can take anything you throw at them. Lots of suspension upgrades. 400whp is bolt ons away if you have a TT car. But some parts for them are $$$$$$

            Diesel repairs or performance products.

thanks guys, im pretty sure im gonna get it then even though i know they will be a bitch to work on cuz the engine bay is so f-ing full. so sometime around april-may if you see a red 300ZX it might just be me..... btw its not a twin turbo, i wish but i think it would be just another hassle for me to work with cuz im not the greatest with engines. but thanks everyone for you opinion!

go onto youtube and find the video of the 300zx with the rb26 in it and you'll have wood for a week.

They are fun as hell. About as fast as an evo with a couple bolt ons. But brace yourself when something goes wrong. Parts are not cheap. Preventative matainence is key with these cars, and there is a lot of it to do. Don't skimp and get the NA. You can find a nice TT for 6-10 grand

Get the turbo. NA, the car is the thing where everyone will ask "is that the turbo?" and you'll look down at the pavement and say "no. Also, I am a virgin".

If you get the twin turbo, however, nobody will even ask. When the rays of light reflect from the car into the eyes of onlookers, there will be color distortions due to "awesome shift", which is like redshift but with awesomeness.

exactly. I love my TT, and can't imagine ever getting rid of it. It makes everything I've owned prior to this seem like junk. They don't feel fast to me though. Like a hayabusa the power comes in smooth and is easy to get used to and seem slower

good idea, have fun putting one snail on a v6. I think I'd rather have the stock twin turbo. I like the push button suspension controll and such.

i would love to get the twin turbo but if you think about it the previous owner most likely rodded on it and wore it out, the reason why im getting this one is because it is owned by a 75 year old man who flies south to Florida every winter and keeps it stored in a heated garage. Im just looking for a 300ZX that is in immaculate condition and not rodded on by a young driver.

And still has sexy lines even by todays standards. I love the 300's and dare I say would take one in place of a 350z. Just personal tastes.

Yeah, i agree they look good... same w/ the RX7s, Supras etc from the 90's.

I'm just surprised how much they cost (along w/ supras and rx7's)...
