so in your opinion dave/matt what is the straight alcohol going to do for charge temps vs gas??

do you think a charge cooler is required with alcohol?? or will you just leave the air:air on matt's car cuz it is there already

      anyway, lots of fuel 🙂

Not really sure how much the charge temps are going to lower with the alcohol, from what you read it should be quite a bit. We are both keeping our intercoolers, altho I might lose the h2o/water and replace it with an air/air for next year. It's too much work to start that change this year.

Damn nice craftmanship on that intake. Where does the "Danger to Manifold" sensor go?

          One time...

Running straight E98 you really dont need the intercooler. I have watched quite a few cars setup with methanol and ethanol, and on cool days the intake will frost up. This is very common on carbed setups, hell they dont even run cooling systems on methanol cars, thats how cold they run. I personally think you would be better off ditching the IC and its weight and effect on spool. The weight break off the nose would offset any gains i think

Actually I'm filling my block, so the cooling effect will be helpful when I drive around on the street. 🙂 I think the IC will help cooling on really hot days at the track and keep the temps down when we run 45+ lbs of boost.

E98 ethanol...just trying to be "green" and doing my part to save the planet. 🙂 It's all in the mind of the beholder. 😉
