Im pretty sure that everyone knows that all things equal, a larger displacement can make more power......but i really think only the ppl who have something to back it up against the imports should be arguing how much better their V8s are. Just like Imports shouldn't be arguing how much better they are unless they can hold there own.....Just my opinion on the matter.

If someone used a ferrari motor in a drag car, with the time and money daves motor has into It, im sure it could handle just as much power...
BTW, his long block is definitly not stock.Daves car makes power because of power adders, not because of the motor...

Whether his is stock or not, doesn't matter...stock 2jz-gte longblocks have made over 1000hp on several occasions...hell the stock 2jz-ge with a thick hg in stock longblock form can hold 600-650hp (notice i've been saying stock longblock...reading > Joel)
So if daves car makes power bc of "power adders" and not because of the motor, then i should be able to make 1000hp with a d16, afterall, the motor doesn't have anyhting to do with it.:icon_salut:
Also, I'm sure Dave has less $$$ put into his car when it's finished than a new Ferrari costs...
Summary: Everything is the opposite of what you said...it was a good attempt tho

but so is the high revingness of a built 4cyl.
but at the end of the day, its who makes it down the end of the track fastest is all that mattersoh btw my 3406 cat or n14 cummins or 60 series detroit > your 350 > your d16blablab16blabla honda

Torbs, shut up, wow another supra making over 1000 hp. Wooohooo! (Although an impresive accomplishment by the owner). This is what we are talking about when we describe a person who thinks hands down one motor is better than all the others. With nearly any motor the possibilities are endless

id still rather have any of the above motors that i posted than any 4cyl honda, but thats just my opinion. and everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it shouldnt really matter wha anyone else thinks about your setup, mainly because its YOUR setup and not theirs.

FWIW, the engine in the red car was stock as was the engine in Matts Probe the last couple years. The engine in my black car has aftermarket rods and pistons, as does the engine Matt is building for this year.
