            50trim would put down more power then you need. You can get a new one for like $600.

                A eagle vitara build will hold more power than a t3 50 trim will put out.

                  Nothing less than a 50 trim. If you think about it you're gonna want more power after you drive it on that setup then you'll just have to tune again if you get a bigger turbo. Just do it right the first time or you'll be wasting your money. Go big or go home. That's just me tho.

                      Yeah, like everyone else said, your turbo is definately your limitation. If you get a bigger turbo, pm me and i might take the 14b.

                        true. i maxed my 50 trim out at 270 whp on a mustang dyno at 18 psi. i wish i woulda got a bigger turbo also.

                        my setup is a tuner toys-vitara and i ran a 12.3 at 114 on a pretty cheap build. i just sold my 50 trim on sunday lol for 350 bucks and that would have been perfect for ya. next year gonna go for 400hp. any questions about it just ask. also my setup is for sale pm me if interested

                          the 14b will make plenty of power for starting out. alot of ppl get to big of turbo's and end up hating it or it acually runs slower as they need to rev to 5k+ just to get into boost and have a little fun.

                          like brandons car is fast and all but it is borring as hell on the street, thing just doesn't spool up the way a street car should imo.

                          just stick with the 14b, and you can later upgrade to a 16g or a 20g, and not have to change much on your set up, then changing to a completely different turbo.

                            and what has this got to do with a noob building his first turbo build, and not needing 400hp+ and kill himself, or hit a tree:icon_scratch:

                            plus travis' 50 trim is not a "normal" 50 trim. it is alot smaller.

                              I was wondering aswell if they were talking about a t3 50 trim comp. or a t4 E-cover 50 trim comp..... because that is a huge difference

                                it just seems easier to have a turbo thats capabale of coming closer to his goals right away. that way he doesnt need to switch turbo/manifolds/intercooler piping/oil lines.

                                itd be alot easier to tell him what turbo he should get if we knew if it was a street car or a track car and what he wants to rev to and what power he actually wants.

                                for all we know he wants the power that the 14b will put out i just dont think thats the case. with that motor 300 streetable is not difficult. even with the uber low compression.

                                so instead of telling him to get bigger turbos maybe we should be asking what he wants from this build lol

                                    trim doesnt really mean anything other than a ratio of inducer diameter to exducer diameter. you can have a 76 trim that only flows 100hp. i dont like when people assume trim size is turbo size.

                                      no shit shurlock.....obviously i understand what trim is, and wasn't using trim to demonstrate turbo size

                                      but that is the common name people use to describe some variants of turbos......

                                      how else would describe a 50 trim t3 comp., or a 50 trim t04e comp. to someone???

                                      let me guess..... i um have a 42.5mm ind./60mm exd. t3 comp...... or a 54mm ind./76mm exd. to4e comp.

                                      get real...

                                      The comp. on my gt4202 was a 53 trim..... but is that the common name for it??.... fuck no

                                      different lines of turbos are obviously named/labeled differently

                                      I am glad you threw your 2 cents of Turbo 101 in there to show your mad turbo skillz....

                                        just use the .ar specs combined with the trim....it'll actually tell you what the turbo is. 🙂

                                          no shit shurlock.....obviously i understand what trim is, and wasn't using trim to demonstrate turbo size

                                          but that is the common name people use to describe some variants of turbos......

                                          how else would describe a 50 trim t3 comp., or a 50 trim t04e comp. to someone???

                                          let me guess..... i um have a 42.5mm ind./60mm exd. t3 comp...... or a 54mm ind./76mm exd. to4e comp.

                                          get real...

                                          The comp. on my gt4202 was a 53 trim..... but is that the common name for it??.... fuck no

                                          different lines of turbos are obviously named/labeled differently

                                          I am glad you threw your 2 cents of Turbo 101 in there to show your mad turbo skillz....

                                          Woaaa dont get all defensive the only reason why you are involved at all with anything i said was becuase i fucking agreed with you. I was saying that for other people like travis who seemed confused by the idea of someone using a 50 trim and making more power than 270hp.

                                          But im glad that you also know what i know, and that you feel the need to throw around dimensions and basic math i already knew about your useless fucking turbo. Any one can use google and tell you your in./ex. Diameters, congrats

                                          stop trying to sound so smart by telling people the small about about basic shit that you know
