so i have had a couple people take a couple peaks at my car and thought mabey posting on a couple fourms would help best, so i have a VR4 i drove into my basement garage parked it as it was running perfect and next ttime i jump in to drive it the clutch had no pressure at all, it will start in gear then obviously jump and die, and creeps foward and back if i try to put it in gear, the tranny and clutch are only a couple years old with 5k on them or so and i dont know much of anything on cars so anyone have any idea what it could be with that info?

have you tried replacing the factory glass transmission with one made out of wood or metal?

[sorry -- the few 3kGT owners I've talked to all bitch about how easy they break :)]

        A 3000GT with transmission/clutch problems? Weird. You'd think it was a DSM...wait.

Well knowing how you drive, id say transmission is toast and needs new clutch.

Technically a 3000GT is not a DSM. All 3kgts and stealths were built in the Nagoya Mitsubishi Plant in Japan.

As far as your problems go I would say its something in your tranny. Those getrags were horrible and they are expensive to fix.

Let me know if you need anything, I have a few tranny parts laying around, but it sounds more like a clutch issue.

Did the pedal go right to the floor? Try bleeding it maybe? Idk anything about these cars besides that the trans is pretty weak.

see if your slave cylinder line has a hole in it. stock ones go bad around the couplers.

the third gear synchros on my tranny are shot and ive been driving on it for two years. ive shoved it into gear at 7k and it didnt break. weird.

Getcher green hat, we are goin fishin.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

master and/or slave, then bleed...sounds like something rubber just gave way with all the cold weather and now there's no clutch pressure...

Master, slave, hose, or something with your clutch itself. Look for leaking fluid up under your dash where the clutch pedal connects to the master cylinder and also around your slave cylinder on the transmission.

yes i was told most likely the slave or a hose, and no there is no clutch pressure but the tranny itself is still very strong i had someone take a peak that knows a bit and that was everything he made out of it
