I drove by your place and went to a friends house north of you on the airport road and he has had to sandbag all around his place...its not good thereJason's house?
And yet there is nothing being said about the sheyenne or the communities in this area. I spent most of my night helping the little old lady at the very end of my road. The river is 2-3 feet from her house, at her dike, and the fucker broke. I built the hell out of that thing tonight.

I say that with the budget surplus we should buy a FUCKLOAD of land and dig a HUGE man made lake just outside of fargo. That way every spring the red, sheyenne, buffalo, wild rice, etc... can all drain into it and fill it instead of flooding the area and every summer when we have a drought we will have a backup water source. It would provide a way to keep the area from flooding, recreation, housing on the lots surrounding it, etc...
But, what do I know?

based on this: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=fgf&gage=wfon8&view=1,1,1,1,1,1&toggles=10,7,8,2,9,15,6&type=0
I'll be on an island before I wake up tomorrow. The houses in our neighborhood will become islands between 21 and 22 feet.

Our house is the highest in the development and our basement is only 4 feet into the ground. We've got all of our basement windows and our garage diked up to the height of the main level. If it gets that high and we get water on the main level we never had a chance to begin with. How the hell did you reach for the r and hit j while typing my name, those are pretty far apart and look and sound nothing alike.

it did crest, the water is dropping slowly, most of the water in the country has dropped considerably. In fact, it has dropped enough that we should be able to hold a good 2" of rain with no problems.good to hear, lets hope it keeps dropping.
