word.....highly unlikely it is the FPR, and even with 20psi that thing is going to pop and fire

take the cap off the schrader valve on the rail and open it for a second, if you have crisp pressure you are good

have you had the low coolant light come on recently. could be the upper intake plennum/gasket (i'm assuming you have a 3100). something to check into at least. good luck.

its a 3.4L. No coolant light hasnt come on. the coolant level is normal. It hasnt overheated.

if it's cranking over with the ignition key, it's not the VATS. if the VATS isn't recognizing the resistor in your key, you'll get nothing at all when you turn the key to start, aside from a blinking anti-theft light.

i've only seen one person successfully bypass their VATS - that's a nice write-up though, and looks like it would work if done correctly. Waste of time/energy unless your VATS wires snap somewhere though.. which happens a lot.

You have obviously never installed remote starters for a living then... It takes a resistor and a relay and is not rocket science.

umm....the 60 degree V6s were very successful motors for GM...they hardly ever had problems(with the exception of the 3.4 DOHC). GMs problem has never been engines, its FWD trannies.

no, I definitely haven't. I'm not trying to say it's difficult. I just haven't seen many people do it right. I've fixed plenty of home-brewed attempts at soldering in resistors, wired-in keys.. just saying if he can still crank the engine over, the problem isn't VATS-related.

I seemed to have fixed the car now. I changed the fuel filter which was nasty. Then last night I checked for spark and it was getting it. I pulled one plug and it was ok, but it was showing signs of wear. I pulled out another spark plug close to the oil fill cap and I found a pile of oil. the Plug was toast. So i pulled the next plug and it was even worse. When I had the oil changed the lube tech must have spilt oil into the spark plug hole. I replaced the front three plugs for now since i have to remove the intake mainifold to get to the rears.

Anyways i went to start the car and still wouldnt start. It was still flooded. I finally got it started and it smoked to beat hell for 5 mins. It seems fine now, so later today I am replaceing the rest of the plugs and all the wires. Gayness
