                  Well plans changed going bigger.

Relocating the ECU to where the battery used to be so i can run a sheetmetal intake manifold, 75mm TB, elimintating the drive by wire and going to a full stand alone. We started moving the ECU last night, 92 fricken wires extended 10 ft. 42 done, 50 to go then all to hack it back apart to wire in the Haltech.

Shooting for 500whp on 15 psi for now. Prolly gonna do a TT bottom end swap this winter, then who knows.

why did you decide to go haltech instead of AEM etc? just curious

also, is that gonna affect the sensors/ecu at all extending the wires? I know its not a whole lot but sometimes that stuff is very sensitive to resistance...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

what advantages does the supra block offer? they're both the same bore and stroke... different materials in the crank, block or something that isn't readily noticeable?

                              the is300 has weaker rods.

IS 300 is 10.5:1, and the rods are a lot weaker. Stock IS300 rods will only take about 500-550 before their done. I plan to push that limit if it gies it goes but i think i'll be alright.

I think we'll be ok on the wiring i double and triple checked everytime we wired one, haha!!

Wow. And i thaught my 22 wires i had to redo was a pain in the ass. I would hate to do that, and i noticed you just used plain yelloy wire, didnt even color code it at all, what a pain that would be.

Last time i checked you cant get factory colored wiring in spools, and even if you could i wouldn't wanna buy 92 spools thats why you label each wire....

would you be looking for a stock or built block? wouldn't it be better to just rebuild the is block with your choice of rods, pistons, etc? that way you KNOW it's good for what you'll be throwing at it

what's the point... there are many stock supra blocks that make 1000hp or close to it
