that would move a hatch pretty good wouldnt it. I mean yait should move it a lot better then the d15 91 hp moves it. What do you think i could run in the 1/4 with the b18c1?

My hatch has a blown head gasket and it ran a 15.5 with a header and a short cold air intake. i guess from wut i heard not sayin its true but i heard that a htch wit a b18c1 should make a high 14 aec in a 1/4

That's a good deal on the motor. However when you do that you are going to want to do the following:

                Headgasket
                Timing Belt
                Alternator Belt
                and a Clutch

Those are the 4 things I recommend on EVERY swap. Because you really have no idea how many miles are on the motor, how long its sat, etc.

Buying/looking for the cheapest swap out there is just not going to be in your best interest. Buy the most complete and best warrantied swap regardless of price unless you wanna buy twice.

"Just because you know it all doesn't mean you can do it all"

"If you can't afford to do it right the first time can you afford to do it a second time?"

yeah most of them say they have 30-50k....but usually have 130-150k on them....there are soem cheaper places than that i think they offer a 6 month warranty also.

And include all of those parts also.

If u buy a motor...make sure everything that is supposed to come with it actually comes with it....otherwise you gotta spend more money that you shouldnt have to!

If it actually is from Japan, there's a good chance it has under 80,000 mile on it. Over there they don't have near as strict of an emissions law so there engines produce more power usually. The down side for them, (an upside for us) is that when the car gets any higher of mileage, their gov't taxes the hell out of them to run that same engine so it actually becomes cheaper to either drop in a new engine and/or get a whole new car all together. Now this is by no means etched in stone but it is a good rule of thumb. And a better warranty and more complete swap is diffinately worth the xtra $$$.

might want to look for a front-clip of a car that was known to be in good running order before it was tboned of hit from behind. usually a little more expensive than buying a swap, but you get everything, and often you get more than you expected (heavier than stock clutch, etc)

I personally have no clue what you are talking about. A b-16? Go blow yourselves with a vortech, that usually helps a lot of people.

Remember old school mustang guy here. Some people don't know what a carb is, others have no clue what these number thngs you speak of are.

supercharger = parasitic drag to produce power = not the best for a 4cyl
