Hello everyone. I was just browsing around the net and found this forum, so I joined.

I drive a dark blue '65 Mustang coupe. You've probably seen me driving around town. I love to race, even if I know I'll lose. The mustang has a bone stock original iron head 289 with a 2 barrel carb and cast iron manifolds and a 4 speed trans. It ran 15.2 @ 81 last summer with severely retarded timing and super tall, super old street radials. Perhaps some changes to the motor down the road, but right now just a fun cruiser.

The '92 Civic DX was my sister's in high school. She sold it to a friend who blew the head gasket, so I bought it, fixed it, and hve it as a winter beater because it's rustier than the Titanic... But that doesn't mean I can't have fun with it. bought a brand new ebay turbo kit (complete) from a friend after he abandoned his project for $400. That'll go into the civic whenever I get around to it. If you have any tuning tips for a D15 ebay turbo build with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and stock computer, hit me up. And trust me, I know the car has rust, ebay turbo, and d15 going against it, so just humor me.

Other than that, I'm just a regular car guy. I believe in doing stuff right the first time and I know what I'm talking about most of the time, but I don't know everything. Not a big fan of internet trash talk, but always down for a good time.

    Thanks!,
    Mike

Well, I just got my ported intake back, and I think it would look good in black. I may paint it, unless I can get a decent price to powder coat it locally. Who does powder coating in town?

Dan at elite powder coat did a great job on the intake and the elbow. [image: IMG_20130528_142227_700_zpsf15f9e2a.jpg] [image: IMG_20130528_142244_878_zpsc0429e51.jpg] [image: IMG_20130528_141351_591_zps79f56ca5.jpg]

Anyone here do it? I have about a 1 inch diameter hole in my timing chain cover I would like welded shot, and a couple places I have check want $60 to do it. I thought that was pretty expensive, but I guess I have never had anything aluminum welded.

I may just use some jb weld and a quarter if it really costs that much to do it.

    Ill do it. Pm me

I have for sale a set of Weld Draglites with Mickey Thompson ET Streets. The Welds are part #90-58040, with a dual bolt pattern; 15x8, 4x4.25/4.5 (4x108/114.3). They have a +25mm offset/5.5inch backspacing. The Tires are 275/50/15. I used the wheels and tires for less than 150miles of street use, and maybe 10 passes at the drag strip with no burn outs. I also have the Weld center caps and the Weld Lug nuts in 12x1.25. New the Welds cost $195 each, and the tires cost $210 each.

I ran these on my S13 240sx, should also fit 4lug mustangs.

    Price: $625obo
    Location: Fargo, ND
    Shipping: Available at buyers cost.
Delivery: Delivery to Bismarck maybe available

Where is the best detail shop in town? I have need for a good shop to bring back that luster to my thoroughly roughed up interior.

    Just as the title says.

I decided to go another route. No more fittings needed. There is a steam pipe on the back of my heads that I broke when I took them off. I was considering doing it in an fittings, but I found a replacement for about the same price as replacing it.

Just finishing up, figured I'd post this in case you assholes care. Motor blew up. Needed fixin. Apparently whoever built this before I had it was mildly retarded. Lots of half-ass work. Took me too damn long to finish this, and got way more in depth than I wanted to. Motor goes back into car tomorrow. Try to get it running by Saturday, leave Sunday for a yearlong deployment. Fuck.

Seeing as how ammunition is getting hard to come by, where all sells in the metro? I've been trying different places on my way home from work every day trying to find some more.

    Scheels
    Fleet Farm
    Gander Mountain
    Wal-Mart Fargo (x2)
    Outdoorsman

Where else? Does WalMart in Dilworth sell ammo?

Haven't been able to find CCI Mini-Mags in quite a while (or much of anything that isn't hollowpoint) and 9MM has been limited.

    Just an FYI, Scheels in Fargo currently has the following in stock: .223 $1/rd 5.56 $.60/rd .380 $.40/rd .45 varies/rd .327 .40 .17 Also, Magpul PMAG30 magazines are plentiful.

Anyway, so parker can't make fun of me for having a "junkyard 4.8 motor"

    .030 over 6.0 - - 370ci
    Scat H beam rods
    Manley forged pistons
    Clevlite77 bearings
    LS2 crank
    Hellfire rings
    Ported LS6 oil pump
    Rollmaster double roller timing chain
    GM MLS 5 layer HG's
    ARP fasteners

    L92/LS3 heads
    Comp 918 valve springs
    Ti retainers
    SS intake valves
    Comp hardened pushrods
GMPP valve covers (coils in car now)

Custom Comp 224/230 .595/.605 114+2 LSA boost cam

    L76/LS3 intake
    PTM 90mm TB
    60lb injectors

need a stall and some other stuff so i can stick the motor in
shooting for 425 wheel on motor alone, could do better

oh, and this intake setup sits 4" lower, so a 100% stock hood should be suffice........ so ridinrails needs new material now

finished up the rest of the exhaust, it is weird to hear the thing quiet. goes from stupid crazy to stock vehicle with the big ass thing open it is amazing how much still passes through the full exhaust, that surprised me [image: IMG_20130501_214938_758_zpsed2ea791.jpg] also did something a little different as opposed to before, it pointed slightly down before and on a dirty road or gravel the exhaust blow dust up and piss me off so it is pointed up now [image: IMG_20130501_214806_508_zpsf66843a1.jpg] all i got left is working on the front end and plumbing the IC [image: IMG_20130501_215132_504_zps6f08621c.jpg]

Hello all, my name is Mike and will be moving to the ND/MN area when our house here in MO eventually sells. It goes on the market next week. I drive a 90 RX-7 (slow N/A 'vert) and a 98 M3 sedan. The N/A rotary is gutless and a gas hog, but the car is still fun to drive in the twisties. Maybe you guys know of at least one road in the area that has a curve or two.

We are moving to the area because my wife is originally from Crookston. I met her while at my first Air Force assignment at Grand Forks AFB. I have since left the AF and we're ready to get out of Missouri.

I'm looking forward to doing autocross events up there. There doesn't seem to be many events that occur in the Fargo area, but that's ok. Two or three times per year is enough to get my fix and I also plan to get to Brainerd to do some track days.

Lake of the Ozarks in all of her bone stock glory lol.

I have a 2000 Land Rover Discovery II that I am parting with. It has just rolled over 130,000 miles. It runs and drives great, and is my daily driven vehicle. It has had regular oil changes and maintenance done. Since I have owned it I have replaced the water pump, starter, and put a brand new optima battery in it. It has new tires all around, including the spare. It has a leather interior with heated seats, dual sunroofs (front and rear), cold weather package, and the towing package. Has a Compustar autostart with 2 remotes. The exterior is in near perfect condition and the interior is in great shape with very minimal flaws that can be easily fixed. I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting and will update with more information if I can think of it. The truck is currently located in Fargo, ND and title is clean and ready to go. I can meet a serious buyer at a reasonable location. I'm asking $6,500 or best offer. Thank you.

ps. ill get the VIN later today

    SOLD

Upgrading to a set of '04 STi BBSs and looking to sell my 5 spokes.

I bought these as a second set so I could run snow tires on my original wheels. They've served me great for the two seasons I've run them. For those not familiar, these wheels are 17" x 7", 5 x 100 bolt pattern, +55 offset, and weigh about 20.5# each. They will not clear Brembos without spacers.

Overall condition is very good. There are a couple small spots of curb rash on two of them, the other two have no curbing at all. I will get them cleaned up and take pictures soon. They are in exactly the same condition as when I bought them here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2179332.

Tires are Cooper Zeon ZPTs in 215/45 R17. They come with a tread depth of 10 32nds and still have 8 to 9 32nds remaining. Lots of life left! They were professionally mounted and road force balanced at Tintmasters. http://us.coopertire.com/Tires/Passenger/COOPER-ZEON-ZPT.aspx

I posted this quote on a political forum, asking the same question. I'm curious what you guys think.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing"
