one last post with mostly stock stuff even a q-jet DYNO TESTING The heads were tested on a 455 (now 468) engine mounted on a Super Flow SF-901 dynamometer. Jeff usually does not acknowledge the torque figure at the start of the pull because it could be incorrect. So the reading was taken at 3,900 to get a more realistic number on the 6X head pull. The correction factor for testing was 1.083. Well that was a failed mission. I wanted to see if the car would hold up to 16-18psi on the stock internals with a good tune, which it did, but I ran slower. I started out running a 13.6 at 104mph with 9psi. At the end of the day I decided to try 17 psi for a bit. My slicks were far to small and spun like crazy through the gears so I tried Shafers. BIG DIFFERENCE. Bogged out of the hole and ran just as slow. All in all it was still a good day. So what kinda times did everyone get/ who wrecked?

I say 170ish cause I have exaust and a CIA. The reson I want to go with a series 1 is its a direct fit minus haveing to lenghin some hoses and a few wires. I might go with series 2 I have to see if there is anything more that has to be changed in the swap

treimche wrote: Well I wouldn't call "pushing the limits" blowing motors up or melting pistons because the car wasn't tuned very well. But good luck to whoever goes! Civic is still on the same tune since we dyno'd, only explanation is bad ga as we did get it out of the pump. I'd say we are probably well into the limits of the civic as it sits. Cartman's teg is a diff story that was more user error, but shit happens and you fix it and mov on.

Are they actually prepping the track this year? I know in previous years they don't use VHT for this event.

Actually, I renamed the file so it wasn't downloaded any more, my host let me know that this video alone had been downloaded to the tune of 26 gig in a matter of a few days, I have a 1 gig limit. :icon_cyclops: Dave fallguy wrote: http://media.putfile.com/2JZ-Ford-Probe-941-at-141mph Dave's link is broken
