have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

is it auto or manual? if its auto its a seperate unit (easier to replace) i do believe. If its manual its inside the transmission and from what I hear, just replace the whole unit.

Just wondering if anyone here has worked with these. I have an old vw engine that had point ign and was switched to a pertronix ignitor. I checked my coil for proper operation. got a good 12v switch power to pos side of coil, got 12v going to red wire on pertronix unit, and black wire from unit going to neg on coil. while cranking the coil does not ground like it should. (test light on neg side of coil stays powered up.) the car ran fine before it was parked-(last year). Just kinda seeing if anyone has done much diag on these units or had many problems with them. I also made sure the plate under the unit was a good ground. makes me want to convert back to points. lol.

I'll check both out. I'm assuming you've both had experience working with both locations (that's why I posted), pretty good work then? I know I could've whipped out the yellow pages, but figured I'd see what you guys had to say.

You were just bitching about never having money, and you have kids, expenses come up so you should have some money in reserve for repairs/bills/etc. Modding a POS neon when you are broke and have kids is a horrible idea, be responsible. which further proves this guy is a loser, ppl like this should be sterilized, so they don't have to put kids through this shit, and to help prevent more losers like this from ever growing up ruthless351;304702 wrote: You clearly dont know what you are talking about.
