have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

FWIW, I don't have any electrical problems either. My car even has fairly high miles for the year.

I have done a tone of these boots. I always order the boot kit from VW/Audi. It requires the hub bolt to be replaced, and are a bitch to get out. Tend to need to heat them up with a torch to loosen them a bit. Last set I did ran roughly $350-400. Unless want the axles themselves replaced, then its a little more. Depends on how long it has been driven and if the joints are shot. If it is actually clicking while turning, you will need the joints replaced.

So i set the timing to top dead center where it is supposed to be and i give it a little gas and when it goes back to idle the timing has changed and is now idling faster. If i tap the distributor it goes back to normal. There seems to be a loose fit where the distributor goes into the bottom plate or something... My neighbor says this plate is probably just worn out and needs to be replaced. Any ideas?

I know from experience to stay away from tranz auto or whatever that place is called. After they rebuilt my transmission it kept leaking and they kept saying they fixed it but never did, when I had to take my transmission apart in auto class I found out they stripped the threads on my case, and thats where it was leaking from, I had to put a helicoil in it. And there was a piece of my 2nd gear syncro nicely placed in between the case also. Oh and thanks guys for the recommendations. I know who to call now.

SRP pistons, Eagle Rods, Y8 head, Garrett 60 trim turbo, Stage 5 Competition Clutch, stock tranny and axles, 22" slicks. Jimmy feels comfortable saying that it's got low 12's in it the way it sits. Still has 100% of the interior. Video vs. GO Autoworks D16 turbo EF, air temp was over 100F, unsure on track surface temp. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71Kkt2zWl18[/ame]
