Figure out the cost of everything you need, and i mean everything including gaskets, tuning, and all the stuff commonly forgotten. Then add another 50% to that, and assume that is atleast how much you will end up spending.

ok, so here is what i need to know:
List every single part you have
          List every part you need
          and since your in there,
          timing belt
          plugs
          wires
          cap and rotor
          clutch
also have about 3-400$ around for new hoses and all that stuff if its needed, so you arent sitting and waiting
and there are cheaper places to get the exhaust parts, if buying new, just get the downpipe, or get the $530 full system with no cat. WTF are you looking at stainless systems for anyway? waste of $$

There are shops that say they have mandrel benders. But then have no clue what a mandrel bend is. Exhaust pros is the only place I know for sure may have one.

SLS doesnt have one even for the amount of IC pipes and exhaust he has done, its more cost effective to buy premade bends. I did my Downpipe back exhaust for just over $200 including all the piping, muffler and someone to weld it/install.

All depends on what you want to do........

are you doing a stock turbo + manifolds?........... cheap

or a full setup with aftermarket manifolds and stuff?.......... more expensive

                  are you doing everything yourself?

I mean everything by your self?

4k on a turbo setup... damn

i could stretch 2k along ways...........

I dont have more than 3k into my powerplant counting the standalone, turbo, engine, manifolds, ect.........thats a $1200 standalone byitself

from what you said above..... if you did it yourself, 2k would do it easy.......... shop around and you could get all the stuff for less than a grand.......

You can buy a complete beautiful compound twins setup for a cummins for 4k

yeah I will be doing everything by myself (with the addition of my dad and 'josh) I am not sure about the exhaust though...may have someone else do that.

since you have the stock downpipe, it will hook right up to your stock exhaust. Save your money on that for now, just hollow out the cat.
Also yours is an 88, so the alternator is already in the right spot.
So, get a set of exhaust gaskets
                        timing belt
t-belt tensioner? ill have to check if its needed, dont remember
                        ignition stuff
                        upper intake gasket
new FI hose for feed/return and injectors
do you have a top, or side-feed fuel rails?
                        injector seals (bottom)
                        trans
that should take care of most of it, once all that shit is done you can start upgrading it later. DO NOT spend time and money upgrading to bigger/better stuff until the car is driveable with the manual with stock stuff. Also i would do a full emmissions delete on that intake, it clears up tons of room.

Alright, Gary im sure has a history of knowing his shit, thanks for the help man. I will definitely be willing to do the essentials for now....the only thing wrong with my exhaust really is that the muffler is ripped open....I just need someone to seal it up...The injectors I believe are top feed. I am not so sure on how to clear up the intake....I have no idea how to do that...
