issues boosting

I have a 92 talon tsi and i just got the new motor in, and it wont boost past ten pounds without the car sputtering. It feels like the car has no pull when the turbo spools. I cant figure it out. please help.

Turbo J pipe
Lower ic hose/pipe
Intercooler
Upper ic pipe
Tb
Vac lines
Bov

will have to look at it tomorrow, prolly make something like what nick has to check for boost leaks.

I think he means check your intercooler piping, couplers, clamps etc...

I know what he meant. thats prolly the only thing that actually does leak.

Why would you need to build something? Just tighten them all down and such

oh i know but i think its a little more extensive than just ic piping or couplers, so i think it will save a lot of headaches to just throw something together real quick to check for boost leaks.

Im assuming hes making something so he can pressurize the system and locate where the leak is coming from. It usually is the piping but it may be something he cant see/tighten. Like a tiny hole in a lower pipe or something.

I knew what what you meant, but it seems like a waste of time to do something like that right off the bat... which it sounded like you were going to do... if all it was was a loose clamp, loose bov or something

Yeah i guess that would suck. I will prolly check everything over, and if anything else go to plan B.

right now im not even sure if its a boost leak. I should say screw it and bring it to kevin and have him check it out if i cant find anything.
