I would like some suggestion's on what transmission to use. I would like to keep it streetable so i am thinking ether a th350 or a th400

mostly drag car with a turbo LSx i would HAVE to vote 'glide, they are absolutely not unstreetable. In fact with decent power they are much more streetable than a 3 speed

Did Zach notice much of a difference when he swap from the th350 to a glide?

The glide is lighter, good parts for it are a lot cheaper, and you have one less shift point to screw up going down the track. 😛 Overall it's a win-win.

the best thing i have done aside the V8 is the glide

what does your car weigh? i am right at 3k with me in it

atleast for me it works better on the street, it helps put the power down and manage traction

gary rode in it on the street on the same power it was going lower 9s and can vouch for how well it hooks

plus it loads up and gets me full boost instantly, and i can still way overpower myself on the line when on the Brake

another thing is i have a remote fluid cooler with electric fan..... with the 350 that thing would run about all the time when driving/beating

with the glide i think it has kicked on twice, but alot of that could do with the converter too

I looked at my buddies glide and found out it would not work at this moment. I'm planning on running what i have for the rear suspension for now to keep the cost down 😞 But once I do like you did Zach build my 6.0 and make it more of a track car than i will go with a glide. But now i have made progress. Got the old a/c heater box out and installed the non a/c box. Got the exhaust manifold's modified today and cut the idler arm bracket out and installed a plate over the hole. Also started the hotside exhaust pipe and kinda got the downpipe figured out. Hopefully have the hotside done this week.

With a relatively big cube motor like that, I'd go with a T6. It leaves you a lot more options in the future if you decide to upgrade.

I really don't know if I will have the room for a T6 unless i cut into the fender well but then i might not have room around the hood. It's kinda tight around the turbo right now plus i will not have room for the down pipe. We were able to get 3.5 inch to fit right and i really don't want to cut into the frame that much. I even think 4 inch would be tough to do.

well not much progress as of late. just a lot of ordering of parts. but i can say christmas is going to come early this year as everything i ordered should be here by next tuesday. then next week while i'm on vacation i will work on the fuel system and possibly pull the motor out and swap out the oil pan and weld in the drain for the turbo. i also might start some of the wiring
