So im working on my lowering suspensions today and i finish the fronts and I go to start on the drivers side rear. Grab my 14mm and my breaker bar and have a go at it and the mother fucking bolt head snaps right off. FUCKING GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!!! This is so retarded I can't even explain it. Anyone have a bolt that connects the rear shock to the lower control arm? I don't know if they are honda specific or if i can just go to macs and pick one up. The fronts had grooves in them so Idk.

Does it really matter if they are grooved or not?

do they use those bolts as a way to adjust camber on hondas? if so, you should probably get the right one.

my car is 17 years old, and i have never snapped a bolt of on it.

This is common and shitty. If I had a extra set I would hook a brother up!

Any bolt will work but make sure it's grade 10, otherwise you might break it..

Ditto, except for a bolt on the heat shield when I was pulling the KA out.

those grooves are to keep the bolt from spinning, but, most of the ones I see at the shop were previously fucked by another mechanic who reefed the hell out of them and spun the grooves smooth. 🙂 just go buy some a macs. 🙂

I am FUCKED! Well I broke of the head of the bolt that goes through a threaded nut thats WELDED to the shock! Is there a safe way I can drill out the bolt? I was thinking I could jack the rear end up, take the wheel off and jack up the suspension and then drill it out but will that work without messing something up?

They have the exact bolts that fit at the scheels on Uni, they fit like they were made for the car. Ive bought a few there.

I did that to one of my old cars. Just get a drill un in there and start drilling right through the bolt. I did it and it came out fine.
