You need a IC and a BOV there as well. The Greddy kit does come w/ their oh so famous "blue box". It's a joke. If anything run a AFC and 450's.

By the time you get the Greddy kit and their FMIC you get well over $2000 into it, and it wont make any power anyways especially not w/ their "blue box". Most commonly on the stock boost Greddy kits bang out around 150whp

Its not necessarily raped. $2000-2500 is a pretty damn good deal for a complete turbo kit. $700 is a pretty good deal as well for a complete FMIC setup although once again the Greddy uses small and very long routed piping. But the point being is the Greddy kit is built very conservative to suite everybody. In which case its not gonna make big power, its not gonna give you good times @ the track, but it will make the car a lot more fun to drive. In most cases people are turboing the cars for the power. The Greddy kit just wont give you that w/o running a lot of boost.

This is what i am thinking for my setup since Greddy would be expensive.

              304 Stainless Header
              Turbonetics T3/T4 T04E 5 bolt .50 .63 turbo
              24"x12"x76mm Front Mount Inter Cooler
              38mm Tial Wastegate
              3" Downpipe
              Greddy Type RS BOV
              Walbro 255lph Pump
              DSM 450cc Injectors
              SX Fuel Preasure regulator
              SLS MBC
              SLS IC Piping and intake
              AFC

Tufte let me know what you think of the setup. im thinking total will be about $1500 so far with what ive priced everything out at.

Harwood, are you using SSAutoChrome parts / XS Turbo?

                Greddy Type RS - $175
                Tial Wastegate - $215
                Walbro Pump - $95
                FPR - $130
                DSM Injectors - $50
                Boost Controller - $45
                S-AFC - $300
                Downpipe - $200
                Garrett Turbo: $600
                Stainless Header: 300-750
                Intercooler Piping - $250
                Intake - $100
                FMIC: 350

Your looking at around $2500+, plus your going to need a new clutch, don't forget the oil lines, and theres prob more I'm forgetting... Idk how you came up with $1500

Unless your using junk Ebay parts not a prayer for $1500. That FMIC size is way overkill as well. The description of the turbo you describe says nothing except compressor/turbine housing sizes.

Building a custom kit is gonna run you around the same price as a Greddy if not a bit more but its gonna make a lot more power.

I know i will need a new clutch. Ok, i need some power estimations. how much power for the Greddy Kit? how much power for the SLS Kit?

After Pricing shit out all the way SLS's kit is a much better idea than just peicing one together.

And my car is still going to get a body kit on it after i turbo it.

Oh ya, i am using the money i would have gotten troys hatch with to turbo my car. Thats how i have the money. I dont need to buy a winter car anymore because my rents gave me one for free.

Anyways, I added it all up again and its about $1850-1900

Oh ya, and i take it an Intercooler is a must, at least thats how you guys make it sound. I am wondering because i found another kit that is basically the same setup, but it has all the piping but no IC, it just runs a pipe where the IC mounts.

I forgot about H-T, i found a complete kit on there for $1400, basically everything except Fuel management, and IC. all the piping and every thing.

Idk what kinda manifold, wastegate, FMIC, downpipe and turbo your gonna get for $850.

My kit put down 241whp and 202 trq on 9-10 psi. We never got to tune the car as the wideband was down. Based off how choppy the graph was it was pretty damn rich.

Before i had the AFC and 450's in it and was just running the lame ass FMU it ran 12.5@109. FMU was all i had laying around that day so we used it took it to the track and ran it as is. Should easily run low 12's.
