Hmm. So youre going to use the s2000 transmission ? Id use as much of the factory wiring as possible. Its be interesting to see where the shifter ends up in the corolla chassis. Good luck, itll be sweet if it gets finished.

you have to cut back bout 2 or 3 inches and then you have the choice of shortening the e-brake handle or relocating it but from what I've seen its a pretty straight forward swap the wiring is the only thing I'm truly worried bout haven't found an exact diagram or example yet

my other big concern is the spacer that i need to put between the frame and the lower crossmember and how it will affect the alignment and driveabilty of the car
        picture is for reference

make sure you mount it as low and as far back as you can get it. It will prolly drive like a go cart. I'm pretty sure Josh from fergus was going to do this swap, i'm sure he can give you the in's and out's of it, but i don't know what he is up to these days 1990tsi on here i believe...

I would use the S2k motor harness for sure, splice into the factory harness when necessary. It's an 86, whats in it, 8 wires?

              Lol

Standalone with a fresh flying lead harness.....cake and look factory

would be nice i just don't like the price tag of the stand alone and from what i've found the harness is supposed to be pretty simple to do i guess that you basically use a stripped s2k dash harness, full engine harness and bits from the corolla
