have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

krzydrftr93 wrote: I guess we will find out friday when the pump gets replaced. That is what the mechanic said and he said hes done a couple others so whatever. LoL I don't doubt your mechanics abilities nor do I doubt that his diagnosis that you need a water pump is wrong either. You may indeed need a water pump. They are replaced all the time. All that I'm saying is that in all my years in the automotive world and that's quite a few, I've never seen a water pump cause an engine to spit/sputter or even miss and the engine still run. Nor have I seen a water pump magically pump antifreeze anywhere in the engine to where it is going to cause it to burn off from the exhaust. Now, a water pump locking up completely and stopping the engine from running..... That, I have seen. But, every interference engine (most hondas) that I've seen that happened to has bent the valves and/or done worse. Either way, It required alot more than just a water pump replacement to cure the problem. Such as head coming off to replace any bent or broken valves and possibly even replacing a piston or two. If there is a something I am missing, PLEASE enlighten me. And please don't take this as me coming off as trying to be smarter than you either. I have been wrng before and if I was wrong now, it wouldn't be the last time for sure. In fact, I am always willing to learn somethin new. So don't be affraid to post something up. ANYONE?

slowvo wrote: i dont understand why it rubs after 1/8 turn...unless the fenderwell is out of place and basically hanging there... U guessed it. It more like between 1/2 to 1 full turn it rubs, then after that, if i crank hard it doesnt. I'll look at it more today. Thanks guys!

Most of the GT35R guys are stuck in the 500's. there is no doubt if he ran it again that it would be deep in the 10's. the guys from big Valley are in the 9's with stock 6speed and 702hp. there are only about 10 subaru's in the US that have broken the 10 sec. mark. and half of them are auto. It isn't real easy making that kind of power with the boxer engine. Just like everything. the longer the cars are out the faster they will be. I talked to phil and he said that the car would run out to 8500 no problem. the guy just had it re-tuned for the future owner. I guess he thinks buying a house is more important than having a nice car...........what???? Just sucks now that you can't run auto's or methanol is most Nopi classes anymore. So much for our plans as well of not destroyin trans all the time. He's running an extremly large turbine housing which would explain the higher output #'s as well as being dyno'd on a dynapack. Being a 1.06 AR it's gotta be a T4 frame.

Awesome, thanks Nick. Also, this might be a little off topic here, but check out this post I made on H-T, maybe you could shine some light on it. So when I originally rebuilt my motor, the crank pulley was pretty hailed. I contacted someone here on H-T and got a used b-series (of some sort) crank pulley and purchased a new timing belt from honda. When I recieved the pulley, it was larger in diameter than my stock one....no big deal, right? However, lately I seem to be having some trouble with my timing belt jumping a tooth or two after it's been driven for a couple days. Now the pulley wasn't THAT much larger in diameter, was I supposed to have purchased a specific size belt? Is it possible my tensioner is bad?
