have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

oldboats wrote: Is your timing too far advanced? I think you said that it was a fresh engine? If so then this next bit will not apply. If you have an old stretched timing chain it could have skipped a cog and be off by quite a lot... Do you have a timing chain that has more than one keyway? did you put it together right? yeah it got put together right i have a 2key high profomance timing chain out on right the problem im having is getting it running from changing my intake gaskets. I drove it right before i toke the intake off so i know it works i think im off 180o its just to dam cold all i need the shop for is warmth to work on the pos the engine was put in late 2000 rebilt in 2004 over haul new cam heads oil pump fuel pump carb and intake did that worked fine

it looks like the banner is just to give an idea of other items the place has available. i'd ask for a few more specs before i buy, but it is a great deal for the manifold, turbo and external wastegate

tjamz wrote: right, the way speakers resonate is common sense to me to, however there is SOOOO much more to speakers than getting the phase and imagine correct (as I'm sure you know). Based on the Thiele-Small parameters you can determine what type of enclosure a given woofer will sound good in b4 you cut the first piece of MDF. It's really amazing to think how much speaker technology has come along in the past 15 years. When I was first getting started a guy by the name of Mark Fukuda held the world record in SPL w/ a 153.6 in a bright yellow 1989 Chevy S10 Blazer (one of the cleanest installs I have seen to date actually). Now, just about anyone can go out and buy a system that will be in the 150's for SPL for minimal money, and to really compete for a world record (unlimited power class) you need to be able to get into the HIGH 170's if not 180's dB. The point I'm getting at here is that with the advances in technology of the past 10 years there are literally hundreds of resources available to help you build and design a kick ass stereo system. My favorites are the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook, LEAP enclosure modeling software from LinearX, LMS from LinearX, and my Mobile Dynamics coursework books. Another tip for those of you contemplating competition (non-SPL) is use the least amount of speakers you can for sound quality. A good pair of 6 1/2" coaxials in the kickpanels and a pair of tens in a sealed enlcosure in the trunk might win you more than you'd ever imagine. show off

with the stock turbo, in my opinion, more hardware besides the datalogger isn't necessary (unless you're bringing in more complex devices than the afc

I replied to your PM. I used a Holley Rising rate FMU. You could always use a regular fpr to control base fuel pressure and then use the rising rate fmu to tweak the boost fuel needs. I haven't had that setup in a while though. Your right in that your really limited to what you can use with the stock MAF. The probe ecu processor is really slow too.

There's not really much to check. If you have low oil pressure then there's nothing short of replacing or rebuilding an engine that'll give you oil pressure. I'd just drive it for now and keep a good eye on it. I thought it might just be a bad sensor but if your guage reads low also, than it's a good indication that it's low. Save your pennies for an engine from SLS. They have done countless Jap-spec engine swaps and are reasonable about price.
